“Is everything okay?” Yulia questioned with a hint of worry.

After leaving Sasha’s room, Ophelia went to the library and sat down on a cushion, gazing at the fireplace that mirrored in her hazel gray eyes which were filled with tears that were threatening to flow out.

Yulia had gone to the library to pick up some books that her mother had instructed her to get, but when she saw the dragoness buried in thoughts, she knew right away that something was amiss because of her sad demeanor and watery eyes.

“Are you hurting in any way? Shall I call Nikolai?” She questioned once more, this time feeling even more concerned when Ophelia didn’t reply nor glance at her.

“Have you ever seen Nikolai cry?” asked Ophelia. She pursed her lips, took a deep breath, and then turned to face Yulia, who was standing next to her.

“He used to be a crybaby when he was younger, but ever since he got back from Nexus, I haven’t seen him cry.” Yulia replied and sat down next to her.

“What makes you ask this? Would you like to see him cry?” She questioned

with renewed interest.

Ophelia shook her head. “No. It’s nothing.” She pondered if Nikolai was hurting as much as she was right now.

“Oh.” Yulia sounded a little disappointed but as she observed Ophelia’s little movements. Trembling fingers, constantly inhales, her solemn expression straining occasionally. “Did something happen between you two?”

Ophelia gently turned to face her, her eyes slightly enlarging. “Is it really that obvious?”

“Yes. Pretty much.” Yulia answered.

“I see…” Ophelia sighed and rose to her feet. “Can I spend the night in your

chamber?”

Yulia was shocked. “Yes, but.. is it that serious that you need to avoid him?”

Ophelia pressed her lips. “Yes.””

Yulia smiled brightly and stood up, hugging her arm. “Then you’re welcome to stay with me! We can have a girls’ night!”

Ophelia was on the verge of smiling, but she refrained. It was best to stay away from Nikolai for a while. She had to clear her head without his presence around her.

“Your brother… Won’t you tell him?” Ophelia enquired to be certain.

“Boris and father went to the front lines. Alpha gave them the command to eliminate any dragon troops that are attempting to invade.” Yulia responded and gradually let go of Ophelia’s arms.

“Alpha… Nikolai?” Ophelia sputtered. Was that the reason why Rhaziel was so adamant to drag Nikolai out of the room? He was aware of the presence of dragon troops at the front lines, and Nikolai ordered… She shook her head. Those dragons were attempting to infiltrate Celestia in order to murder her.

Her stomach growled inconsolably.

Yulia giggled and Ophelia gently laid her palm on her stomach.

“You will be looked after by my personal maids. Nikolai most likely forbids maids from having any contact with you and him. I’ve heard that his maids frequently tried to poison him when he was little. He is traumatized by servants and slaves.” Yulia laughed and chattered.

Ophelia let out a heavy sigh.

Yulia’s smile slowly disappeared, seemingly recalling a bad experience.

“Maids were also instructed to kill me back then. Nikolai, however, discovered the poison and killed them.” She mumbled.

Ophelia was in disbelief, but Yulia smiled and shrugged aside her bad feelings. “Let’s go.” She planned to give the books to her mother later.

She pulled Ophelia’s arms and Ophelia followed her reluctantly.

Staring at the long line of various dresses in various colors and styles, a line of coats and cloaks, a line of pants, a line of shirts and skirts, and the majority of shoes, Ophelia stood at the middle of the closet with a beaming Yulia.

“Majority of the clothing in this room is undoubtedly your size, but I can arrange for my designer to visit and create as many outfits as you need.” Yulia enthusedly said.

“Oh, it would be lovely, but I’m only planning to stay for one night.” agitatedly, Ophelia said.

“Come! I’ll show you my jewelry collection. Yulia dragged the dragging to a room that glistened with gold and silver, completely disregarding her words.

Different diamonds, bracelets, and necklaces were displayed on shelves that were coated in crystal glasses. The luxury. Ophelia had seen it all for she had as much as she did back in her home.

She couldn’t help but be perplexed, though, as to why Yulia was showing her all of these things, as if she intended her to live with her indefinitely.

They continued to stare in silence before going back to the bedroom, which was larger than both of those rooms put together. Yulia’s room was slightly larger than Sasha’s and they had varied tastes.

However, Nikolai’s room was still quite vast despite being smaller than the jewelry room. She recalled him telling her that the room wasn’t actually his and that they would transfer to his room “Today.” She exhaled and took a deep breath in.

“What’s wrong? Is the bed small?” Ophelia stared at Yulia in shock as she abruptly questioned.

“That bed can fit eight people in it!” She yelled and pointed at the bed.

Yulia snickered. “I’m right, you’re right!” She hurried over, took a seat on the edge, and then tapped her side asking Ophelia to take a seat next to her.

Ophelia reluctantly approached and sat down next to her, and Yulia relaxed her head on her shoulder, slowly closing her eyes.

“You are a great sister in law.” She muttered.

Ophelia said nothing but her lips broke into a smile by the lycan who seemed to like her really much.

That was a development. Indeed.

“I’m not married to him yet.” She had to say but her voice didn’t come out as

loud as she wanted it to.

“You ought to. Only you have the ability to control him.” Yulia confessed. “Even though I was young, I have clear memories of my youth since I was so active. Nikolai… He and I were both wronged by this family so many times. He was the only one who looked out for me, but after he went, my family also stopped caring for me. Not because I was insane or anything, but more because I reminded them of my mother.”

Ophelia slowly smiled and stared at Yulia. “But your brother loves you very much.”

Yulia cocked her head and gave Ophelia a dejected look. “Yes! But, I desire more than simply tangible possessions like jewelry, clothing, and silver, I
