The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 92

Sebastian looked at Riley with pointed intent. "I'm very well acquainted with the dean of Southern General Hospital."

Riley blinked in confusion.

Why was he suddenly telling her this?

Cloudcrest Manor already had a green channel set up with Southern General Hospital. Wasn't it obvious he knew the dean? There was no need to specifically bring it up.

Sebastian pressed his lips together and stared at her without speaking.

His look seemed to say: Think a little harder about what I just said.

Riley blinked twice more before a realization struck her.

Was he warning her that because he knew the dean so well, if she sneaked out to play around again, he would find out immediately?

"Don't worry, Sebastian. I've deeply realized the error of my ways and I will absolutely never do it again."

"Good." Sebastian nodded in satisfaction and glanced at Franklin in the driver's seat. "Drive."

Riley watched the rapidly departing car, utterly speechless. He had actually meant it that way.

He really didn't trust her at all.

It was just sneaking out once. Did she really leave him with such an unreliable impression?

The kicker was, it had all been a lie on her part anyway.

Riley couldn't help but sigh. Lying really did come with a price.

After entering the inpatient building, Riley made some discreet inquiries and found out that Seraphina was indeed here. She was staying just two floors down—Riley was on the 8th floor, and Seraphina was on the 6th.

At noon, Pierce returned and brought her lunch.

As Pierce set the food containers on the table, he asked, "How did you feel this morning? Any more dizzy spells?"
