This time, she wouldn’t fall into the same trap!

Alice said firmly, “Luke, I want to focus on my exams. I don’t want to be distracted by games.” She flatly rejected Luke’s proposal.
No, to be precise, it was more of a command.
What he said wasn’t a discussion; it was a notification.
“Alice, are you serious? You actually turned down. my invitation?” Luke’s expression soured. He hadn’t expected her to refuse. After all, for years, Alice had always obeyed him without question.
Alice stood her ground.“Since it’s an invitation, I can refuse.” She looked at him directly, watching his expression darken, feeling a bit of satisfaction.
But that didn’t concern her.
Luke’s voice sharpened. “You better think this through before you answer. Don’t act out, or I might not give you another chance, and you’ll be begging me!” He’d heard about the recent events, about Alice giving Chloe his prized gold trophy. That trophy was from the year he became a professional player, a championship win that meant the world to him. How dare she give it away?
Chloe tugged at Luke’s sleeve.“Luke, don’t be mad. Joining your team is something I’ve always dreamed of. Alice will come around and agree.”
Chloe’s words only fueled Luke’s anger. He felt Alice was being ungrateful, daring to refuse him!
He glared at Alice.“You only get one chance. Think carefully about your answer. Do you want to join our family team or not?”
Luke.”
Alice found it amusing; it turned out Luke was all bark, easily manipulated by Chloe.
Chloe pretended to be concerned.”Alice, just agree. Don’t upset
Alice looked at her.“Chloe, since you’ve always wanted to join the team, I’ll give you my spot.”
With that, she retreated to her room.
She pulled out her backpack and started on her homework, realizing she was rusty on a lot of material and needed to catch up fast.
Until a servant knocked on her door.“Miss, dinner is ready.”
“Bring it up to me.”
“But Mr. Welch and the others are waiting for you in the dining room.” They didn’t want her eating alone.
Alice gripped her pen tightly, realizing she was still under the Welch family’s control and could only deal with it for now.
She went to the dining room and found Noah, Caleb, Luke, and Chloe already seated. Alice took a seat at the far corner, quietly grabbing a plate to eat. The atmosphere was tense, but Chloe’s laughter quickly eased the tension.
Luke glanced at Alice.“Chloe, later we’ll teach you to play. You’re smart. You’ll learn quickly and be just as good as anyone else!”
Chloe’s eyes lit up.“Luke, I’ll work hard and won’t hold you back!”

* Chapter 12
Alice remained unfazed, letting Chloe join is better. When the revival match fails, Luke won’t get another chance to compete.
She kept her head down, eating quietly, not looking at the cheerful group, no longer throwing tantrums like before.
Because she simply didn’t care anymore.
Finishing her meal, she stood up and said, “I’m done. Enjoy your dinner.” She didn’t want another lecture.
Noah looked up, surprised to see Alice not sulking or throwing a fit, her demeanor much colder. He softened.“Alice, are you really not planning to join the family team? You have a talent for gaming. If we all work together, we could win the championship!”
Alice, I’m giving you an opportunity here.

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
