Alice took a taxi home. As she stepped into the hall, she heard Chloe’s voice, sounding all cheerful and cozy. But the moment she appeared, the atmosphere turned as stiff as a board. With a blank expression, Alice walked through the hall, planning to head straight to her room. Caleb shouted, “Alice, you stop right there! You don’t even greet your elders when you get home? Is that how you behave now? Don’t think that school doctor is shield and that you can threaten to call the police. Outside the Welch family, you’re nothing!” The more Caleb spoke, the angrier he got, standing up to emphasize his point. “You think we favor Chloe? Look at what you’ve done to her! Her father saved your life, and we’re just repaying that debt for you!”
your
Alice felt utterly drained. She stopped and looked towards the sofa.“Noah, Caleb, I’m back.” Was that enough?
Noah said, “Dinner’s ready.”
“You guys eat. I’m not hungry.” Alice replied, turning to go upstairs.
“Noah, look at her attitude! She’s getting more and more out of control!” Chloe piped up, “Caleb, don’t be
angry. It’s all my fault. Maybe if I leave the Welch family, Alice won’t be so stubborn.”
“Don’t be silly. If anyone leaves, it’s Alice, not you.”
Alice heard their conversation as she hurried to her room and locked the door. Leaning against the door, she took a moment to breathe, her eyes stinging with tears. She looked up at the ceiling forcing the tears back. This time, she wouldn’t cling to the nonsense of sibling bonds.
The next day, Alice went to school as usual. Chloe shared a ride with her.
Chloe asked cautiously, “Alice, are you still angry?”
“Chloe, don’t
you ever get tired of acting all the time?”
Alice leaned back, closing her eyes to sleep, ignoring Chloe. Chloe’s expression darkened. But with the driver present, she put on her usual pitiful look and smiled sweetly at the man. thought to himself that the young lady was being too much, always picking on Chloe. He’d have to have a word with the second young master about it later.
At school, Alice focused on her classes and took notes, realizing she had forgotten a lot. Even with Chloe’s little followers chirping around her, she didn’t pay them any mind. She had too much to do to waste time on them.
After school, Alice returned home to find her sixth brother, Luke, sulking on the sofa. Chloe approached him coquettishly.“Luke, you’re back! I missed you SO
Luke, who was initially in a bad mood, softened at her attention.
Alice glanced at their interaction and turned to head upstairs.
much!”
Luke called out, “Alice, Caleb says you’ve become disobedient. I didn’t believe him at first, but now you won’t even greet me?”
Alice sighed. Here we go again. Not wanting to waste more time, she turned around and obediently called out, “Luke.”
“That’s better. By the way, I’m planning to reform the team. Noah and Caleb agreed. You’re in.”

Alice clenched her backpack tightly. This was it, just like last time. To please him and win their attention, she had agreed without hesitation, training hard, even neglecting her college entrance
exams.
And what did she get in return?
“Alice, you’ve proven yourself. Now let’s give the spot to Chloe so she can experience the joy of winning.”
“Alice, I’m the
captain. If I team
say
we’re switching, we’re
switching.” In her past life, she had been unceremoniously replaced by Chloe. If it weren’t for her relentless efforts, she wouldn’t have even made it to the finals. And at the last moment, they swapped her
out? Handing over the championship glory to Chloe?
What was all her hard work worth?

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
