Sign the Papers Mr. Langford novel Chapter 45

Why was it so easy for Wren to get the title of Mrs. Langford?

Why did Wren never have to fight for anything, yet people always remembered she was the official wife?

She was going to make sure everyone saw the truth.

The most suitable woman to stand by Lawrence's side was her, Willow.

Meanwhile, at Stellaris Medical.

Wren heard the news too.

She didn't go out of her way to dig it up.

The moment the announcement about the Langford Recovery Center consultant went out, it spread like wildfire through their industry circles.

When Zeke walked over with his phone, he didn't even know about Wren's connection to the Langford family. He was just making casual conversation.

"Wren, check out this new consultant at Langford Medical. Her name is really similar to yours, and you both have the same last name."

Wren took the phone.

On the screen was Langford Recovery Center's internal press release.

Ms. Willow Whitaker officially appointed as Special Consultant for the Langford Recovery Center's Philanthropy Project.

The accompanying photo showed Willow standing at the entrance of the center, smiling gracefully.

Lawrence was standing right next to her.

The man's expression was composed, but he was personally handing her the offer letter.

Wren stared at the photo.

Her chest didn't ache the way it had last night.

Instead, it felt like she had been doused with ice water.

Utterly sobering.

Lawrence really was good to Willow.

It wasn't a misunderstanding.

It wasn't an exaggeration.

He gave her everything except the title of a wife.

He gave her money, resources, projects, and the prestige to stand by his side.

Yet to his actual wife, he only ever had one thing to say:

Stop causing trouble.

Wren handed the phone back to Zeke.

"Good for her."

Zeke didn't notice anything off and chuckled. "I heard her speech at the charity gala yesterday was solid. Langford definitely scored some good PR with this move."

Wren nodded.

"She always knows how to please people."

Her voice was incredibly soft.

Zeke didn't catch the underlying meaning.

Just then, Julian walked in.

He glanced at Wren, then at the news on Zeke's phone, and seemed to understand.

Once Zeke walked away, Julian asked, "Are you alright?"

Wren kept her head down, organizing her lab notes.

"I'm fine."

"You don't look fine."
