She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 415

When they arrived at the Blackwood Manor garage, the car rolled to a stop. Rowan carried Lyra out of the vehicle and headed straight for the elevator. Sitting in the car, Andrea looked genuinely surprised. "He actually let her coax him?"

Wesley knew better. "A man like Rowan doesn't get jealous over women. He has countless women throwing themselves at him; why would he ever bother getting jealous?"

"But he came looking for her the second he stepped off the plane, and he even had me monitor her every single day. That has to mean she's different," Andrea pointed out.

Wesley remained noncommittal. Turning his head, he noticed that the boss hadn't even grabbed his briefcase—the culmination of seven grueling days of business negotiations.

Wesley took it upon himself to bring it upstairs. Knowing his boss had gone straight to the master bedroom, Wesley headed for the side hall to drop off the bag.

From there, he could clearly hear the girl's soft, seductive moans blending with the man's irrepressible, heavy breathing. Wesley dropped the briefcase and sprinted out of the house.

Lyra spent that entire night at Blackwood Manor.

By the next day.

The two of them lingered in bed together for half the morning before Rowan finally led Lyra on a tour of the villa. He showed her every room and the scenic courtyard, letting her slowly familiarize herself with her new surroundings. He then instructed her to take a nap after lunch before finally heading to the office.

Just before he left, Lyra wrapped her arms around his back and demanded, "You absolutely have to kick Jasmine out of Seaborne City."

"You have to, without fail."

"Otherwise, don't even think about coming back here to kiss me."

Rowan chuckled, agreeing in a highly pleasant mood before walking out the door.

The moment he left, Lyra stormed into the bathroom and aggressively yanked a brush through her hair.

She stared at her reflection in the mirror—her swollen lips, the fading red marks scattered across her chest—and wanted nothing more than to smash the vanity glass to pieces.

She had actually ended up sleeping with Rowan on the exact same day she had promised to leave with Zane.

Andrea looked slightly surprised, but immediately shook her head. "I can protect you perfectly well like this, Miss Fairchild. There's no need for the extra trouble."

"You don't want to?" Lyra asked, her voice laced with heavy disappointment. "Why not?"

Andrea lowered her eyes, looking slightly apologetic. "Jameson Group offers more stability."

Lyra's body swayed slightly as she frowned. "What are you implying? Are you saying Fairchild Holdings could go bankrupt at any moment? That if you joined us, you'd be afraid of losing your job?"

Andrea looked down at the soft, delicate hands gripping hers and replied, "During his seven-day business trip, Mr. Jameson acquired a company just as large as Fairchild Holdings. If he's willing to destroy a company just to expand his empire, he is fully capable of destroying Fairchild Holdings over a woman."

"Miss Fairchild, you simply cannot outplay him."

Hearing this, Lyra's heart violently constricted. Feeling as though invisible hands were choking her, she frantically released Andrea and stumbled backward.

Watching her intense reaction, Andrea stated flatly, "Don't misunderstand. I only spoke up to help you yesterday because I saw you trembling, strictly out of solidarity as a fellow woman."
