"No wedding?" Gordon's voice rose sharply. "Absolutely not!"
Hank frowned deeply. "I don't agree."
Giselle blinked, turning to Hank. He was looking at her, leaving zero room for negotiation.
"Giselle," his voice was deep and solemn. "The wedding is happening. I absolutely refuse to let you and our daughter feel slighted in any way."
Marcella chimed in firmly, "Giselle, dear, you cannot skip the wedding. You suffered so much raising Gigi all by yourself these past few years. The Lonsdale family will not let you be wronged. Every single tradition and formality must be honored."
Forrest nodded in agreement. "This isn't just about the two of you; it's a statement from the Lonsdale family. You are joining our family, and we are going to make sure the entire world knows you were welcomed with the utmost respect."
Loyce squeezed her hand. "Don't turn this down, Giselle."
Giselle looked back at Hank. His eyes were overflowing with unwavering devotion.
He took her hand, enveloping her slender fingers in his large, warm palm. "You deserve the best. And Gigi deserves to see her parents have a beautiful, formal wedding."
He paused, lowering his voice, every word hammering into her heart. "I want the whole world to know that Giselle Turner is my legally wedded wife, the woman I will love for the rest of my life."
Giselle couldn't stop her eyes from welling up with tears.
Gigi slid off Gordon's lap and trotted over to Giselle, looking up with her sweet, angelic face. "Mommy, I want to see you wear a beautiful wedding gown! You'll look like a princess!"
Gordon laughed boisterously. "Listen to that! Even Gigi agrees! It's settled. The wedding is happening, and it's going to be the grandest event this city has ever seen!"
Hank rubbed his thumb soothingly over the back of her hand. "Don't say no, okay?"
Looking at the warm, loving family surrounding her, Giselle finally gave a gentle nod, her voice thick with emotion. "Okay."
A breathtaking smile broke across Hank's face, the pure joy reaching his eyes.
Gordon slapped the armrest of his chair in satisfaction. "That's more like it! Come here, Gigi, Great-grandpa is going to teach you how to play chess so you can beat your dad when you grow up!"
Gigi clapped her hands excitedly. "Yay! I'm going to beat Daddy!"
Hank chuckled. "We'll see if you can even learn the rules first."
"I'll learn them!" Gigi puffed her cheeks indignantly, making the whole room burst into laughter.
That evening, the family enjoyed a warm, lively dinner, but Morris uncharacteristically excused himself early.
"Oh, got it. Bedroom enhancements." She enthusiastically grabbed a few vibrators. "Check these out."
Morris's gaze drifted to the wall, landing on the leather cuffs and riding crops. "What about those?"
"Whoa, okay! Definitely didn't see that coming." The clerk looked him up and down. With his refined, gentle aura and aristocratic elegance, she never would have guessed he was into BDSM. He played hard.
She quickly grabbed a premium leather whip and heavy-duty restraints, bagging them alongside a few other items. "Use these together, and it's guaranteed sensory overload."
"Thank you," Morris said, paying the bill. Before he left, the clerk slipped a business card into his hand. "I've got custom furniture in the back. Call me anytime."
Stepping outside, Morris casually tossed the card into the trash and drove the rest of the way to the villa.
Carrying the bag of equipment, he unlocked the front door. The house was pitch black, save for the faint sounds coming from the upstairs master suite.
He walked upstairs, pushed open the bedroom door, and stepped into the bathroom.
The girl was sitting naked in the bubble bath. She had just dragged a fruit knife across her thigh. The cut wasn't deep, but blood bloomed in the water, dyeing the bubbles pink. She had her head thrown back, lost in a sickening expression of euphoric release.
But the moment the door opened, she snapped out of her daze. She looked up in pure terror, meeting Morris's seemingly gentle but utterly frigid eyes.
