She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 1024

"So, you've already made up your minds," Molly said, her voice dripping with despair. "What do you want from me? My life is already ruined! I've brought in so much revenue for this company! You can't just throw me out! You can't do this to me!"

"Given the massive PR liability you've brought to our doorstep, you should be grateful we aren't suing you for damages," the corporate lawyer replied coldly. "You can refuse to sign, and we'll escalate this to civil court. If the authorities find grounds for criminal fraud, you'll be looking at jail time. It's your choice."

Fifteen minutes later, Molly was forced to sign her termination papers. Her carefully applied makeup was a tear-streaked mess as she walked out, the hallway lined with gossiping coworkers who clutched the expensive wedding candy she had just handed them.

Within half an hour, the entire floor knew.

The glamorous Molly Nash, who carried a different designer bag every day and bragged about her Ivy-league education, was actually a headliner at a strip club.

The corporate group chats exploded. Screenshots of the photos and exaggerated rumors flooded everyone's social media timelines.

The CEO hadn't even bothered to show up. The termination letter simply cited a "severe violation of corporate integrity and damaging the company's reputation."

When Molly walked out of the high-rise holding a cardboard box of her belongings, Miranda was waiting in the shadows, a smug, vindictive smile plastered across her face.

She wanted Molly to burn in hell right alongside her.

Molly couldn't bring herself to meet the judgmental stares of her former colleagues. She looked back at the glass building she thought she'd work in forever, feeling a wave of sickening irony.

She had absolutely nothing left.

As she stumbled down the sidewalk, she spotted Miranda out of the corner of her eye. Molly completely snapped. She dropped her box and lunged at Miranda like a rabid animal.

The two women viciously brawled in the middle of the crowded street, pulling hair, screaming obscenities, and clawing at each other's faces. The fight was bloody and brutal.

Horrified bystanders immediately called the cops.

By the time the police broke them up, Molly had knocked out one of Miranda's teeth, and Miranda had ripped a massive chunk of hair from Molly's scalp. They glared at each other with pure, unadulterated hatred as they were shoved into the squad cars.

Molly was arrested for assault and battery. The police called Swain, but he already knew everything. The horrific rumors and gossip had spread like wildfire, completely blowing up his phone.
