She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 1010

Helena sat on the edge of the bed, staring into space after hanging up the phone. The sweet taste of her warm drink lingered on her tongue, mixing with a complicated emotion she couldn’t quite name.

She wasn't naive enough to draw a line in the sand with Morris now. They were both adults; she knew exactly what this meant. He wasn't just offering his body and his bank account anymore—he wanted her. Entirely.

He wanted to marry her. He wanted to elevate her to a global stage and have her stand in the spotlight, completely unashamed.

And her? Did she need him?

Absolutely.

When a man of his caliber chose you with such absolute certainty, who could walk away? Besides, she was addicted to him. She had been the first one to fall, anyway.

Setting down her glass, Helena padded barefoot into the walk-in closet.

The doors were wide open, revealing a brand-new row of designer clothes. The tags were still attached. Every piece was exorbitant, tailored to her exact size, and perfectly aligned with her personal style.

A handwritten note rested on the center island. Morris wanted her to accept everything he had to offer. The one thing he had an endless supply of was money; the only thing he lacked was her.

Smiling faintly, she set the note aside and browsed the racks. She finally settled on a minimalist knit top, a pair of flowing wide-leg pants, and some comfortable flats. After freshening up, she headed downstairs.

A sleek black SUV was waiting in the driveway. The driver, a sharply dressed man in his forties named Jonas, immediately gave a polite nod. "Good morning. Mr. Lonsdale instructed me to take you to the studio today."

"Thank you," she said, sliding into the backseat.

The car glided out of the gated community and merged into the city's pulsing traffic. Helena leaned back against the plush leather. The morning sun filtered softly through the tinted windows. For the first time in a long time, she felt an overwhelming sense of security.

About forty minutes later, the SUV pulled into the underground garage of a luxury high-rise. Jonas opened her door with practiced professionalism. "Ms. Helena, Bloomberry's new high-end studio is located on the twenty-eighth floor of Tower B. Just let me know when you're finished. I'll be waiting nearby."

"Got it. Thank you."

She had barely taken a step when Jonas jogged over, handing her a sleek black card. "My apologies, I almost forgot. Mr. Lonsdale asked me to give you this. It's to cover the bespoke suits he ordered at Bloomberry, as well as anything you might want to pick up for yourself."

Helena raised an eyebrow, glancing up at the towering luxury mall.

She took the card and rode the elevator up to the ground floor, planning to cross the sunlit atrium to reach Tower B.
