She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 1004

Helena didn't hold back.

She wasn't holding a whip for the first time, but previously, she had always been on the receiving end.

Today, with their roles reversed, she belatedly realized that being the dominant one required both stamina and technique.

She left over a dozen crisscrossing marks on his back. Some were deep, some shallow, and where they overlapped, they bloomed into a vivid shade of crimson, looking like a canvas painting in her eyes.

Morris Lonsdale didn't make a sound. Not even a muffled groan escaped his lips. His breathing grew heavier, and the muscles in his back occasionally tightened involuntarily, but that was all.

Helena tossed the whip aside, walked around to his front, and crouched down to meet his gaze.

Fine beads of sweat dotted his forehead, and a few stray hairs clung to his temples. His complexion was slightly paler than usual, but his lips were striking, flushed from being bitten down so hard.

He was still so handsome—even more so than usual. That kind of restrained yet entirely willing beauty made Helena's heart race out of control once again.

She reached out and cupped his face.

Almost by instinct, Morris turned his head, pressing his cheek into her palm. His cool skin brushed against her fingertips.

He looked so vulnerable, so tamed, so... completely at her mercy.

He asked softly, "Are you satisfied?"

Helena's heart squeezed violently.

She had almost forgotten—he was never a tamed beast. Yet, he had created this incredibly private dynamic just for the two of them, willingly retracting his claws.

That realization set her blood on fire.

She let go of his face, stood up, and looked down at him.

The marks on his body, the redness on his knees from kneeling, the faint indentations on his chest from the metal chains—they were all her masterpieces. He hadn't fought back. Even the rhythm of his breathing was syncing with hers.

How could someone like him exist in this world?

His gaze remained glued to her face, gentle and entirely focused.

"Helena..." he finally spoke, his voice so hoarse it was almost unrecognizable.

"Hmm?"

"Look at me."

She had been looking the whole time.

How could she not? He was the kind of presence that demanded all attention, and right now, that presence was slowly unraveling under her absolute control, revealing the raw, beating core underneath.

Finally, everything settled into quietness.

Helena collapsed against his chest, gasping for air.

Neither of them spoke.
