The security guard was being incredibly reasonable and straightforward.
Everett was painfully aware that the guard wasn't targeting him; these were strict orders coming straight from Daphne.
But...
He absolutely had to get inside today.
He had already done Daphne a massive injustice by sleeping with her while out of his mind.
And followed it up by viciously insulting her with a financial payout.
Morally and logically, Everett couldn't just sweep this under the rug like nothing ever happened.
At the bare minimum, he needed to look her in the eye and have a real conversation.
"Please, buddy. I have something incredibly important to talk to your boss about."
Everett practically groveled, lowering his pride as much as possible.
But no matter how desperately he pleaded, the guard refused to budge an inch.
After a drawn-out standoff, Everett had no choice but to feign defeat.
Watching Everett finally turn and walk away, the guard mistakenly assumed the guy had given up for good.
Except, the second the guard let his guard down, Everett suddenly spun around, launching himself into a full sprint and barging right past him into the club.
"Hey? Hey! You can't go in there!"
The guard wanted to chase after him but couldn't abandon his post at the front door.
Having breached the entrance, Everett tore into the main hall and started screaming Daphne's name at the top of his lungs.
"Daphne! Daphne, come out here! I have something I need to say to you!"
Even though the club was completely devoid of customers at this hour, every single staff member was out on the floor, prepping for the night shift.
Watching Everett lose his mind and start shouting across the club, several of the Male Hosts quickly lost their patience.
"Sir, what exactly do you think you're doing?"
"Didn't security just tell you the boss banned you from coming inside?"
"Since she clearly doesn't want to see you, I suggest you get out."
A group of Male Hosts stood up and immediately boxed Everett in.
While a few of them vaguely recognized him from previous visits, he wasn't a memorable enough regular to grant him a free pass.
"No! I'm not leaving until I see Daphne today."
Everett was in a state of sheer panic, refusing to back down and hardening his stance.
