She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 612

"I was completely right calling you country bumpkins. Everyone here knows that besides their three top-tier clients, everyone else gets standard rooms. You don't even know basic etiquette, yet you have the nerve to question me? Aren't you embarrassed?"

Her self-righteous declaration drew nods of agreement from several guests nearby.

Everett was biting his lip so hard it felt like it might split.

He felt Melanie shouldn't waste another second arguing with this woman.

He had caused this mess, yet he was completely powerless to fix it.

A crushing wave of self-loathing and guilt washed over him.

Amid the judging whispers, Melanie suddenly laughed out loud.

"You're saying everyone else gets standard rooms, and that it's basic etiquette?"

With that, she raised a hand toward the front desk.

"Could you please hand me my room key? Thank you."

"Right away, Ms. Royce."

The receptionist respectfully handed over the card that had been specifically arranged for her by the Carter Group.

"Here is your key to the Celestial Star Suites. Please enjoy your stay."

The entire lobby erupted in disbelief.

In Larkspur, everyone knew there were only five Celestial Star Suites in this seven-star hotel. Located on the highest floor, each suite took up an entire level.

Generally, only heads of state or elite business tycoons were qualified to stay there.

Even for the Carter Group's most valued clients, they only ever booked the exclusive luxury suites, which were several tiers beneath the Celestial Star level.

Phoebe and the surrounding crowd were completely dumbstruck.

"Th-that's impossible... there has to be some kind of mistake..."

Phoebe whipped her head around and glared at the receptionist.

"I'm here. I brought a colleague with me, so I need you to arrange the same room for him. He just arrived and was immediately harassed by your partner, Phoebe Thorne of the Larkspur Wellness Institute. He requires compensation."

With that, she hung up the phone.

Phoebe scoffed, shrugging her shoulders.

"Who are you trying to scare? Faking a phone call and pretending Elias Carter is on the other line. I'd have to be a three-year-old to believe you."

Everett also thought Melanie was taking things a bit too far.

She had already managed to save face, there was no need to lie in front of all these people.

"I'd love to see if Mr. Carter actually books a Celestial Star Suite for your colleague. Honestly, do you think these suites are handed out like free candy? Anyone can just waltz in? You probably scammed your way into your own room!"

The other guests murmured in agreement with this sentiment.

Even though Melanie looked like someone you didn't want to mess with, none of them believed Elias Carter would casually give away a Celestial Star Suite to a nobody in a cheap suit just because she asked.

Right as everyone was waiting for Melanie to make a fool of herself, the phone at the front desk rang.
