Luna Ceremony-1
After they returned home with Asher, Azriel sat in the living room, his face a mask of disbelief and raw emotion. Lora watched him from the doorway, her heart aching for her mate. She walked over and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. Azriel’s eyes grew glassy with tears, and he buried his face in her shoulder, seeking comfort.
“I didn’t think I’d ever hear her voice again,” Azriel whispered, his voice trembling. “Kaia hasn’t exchanged any words with me in years. She never replied to my attempts to reach out to her. I thought I’d lost her forever.”
Lora hugged him tighter, rubbing soothing circles on his back. “It’s okay, Azriel. She’s still here, and that’s what matters. We have a chance to help her.”
Azriel pulled back slightly, his eyes red and filled with pain. “She looked so frail, so fragile. The pain in my chest is unbearable when I see her like that. She used to be so strong, so vibrant.”
Lora cupped his face in her hands, her green eyes filled with determination. “We can try to help her heal, Azriel. Maybe I can use my gift to see if there’s anything I can do for her. She’s already interacting with Asher, and that’s a good sign. It means there’s still a part of her that wants to connect, that wants to heal.”
Azriel nodded, a glimmer of hope sparking in his chest. “You’re right. If she’s opening up to Asher, maybe we can find a way to bring her back to us fully.”
“We’ll take it one step at a time,” Lora said gently. “For now, let’s focus on getting her comfortable and making sure she knows she’s loved and wanted.”
Azriel’s lips trembled as he leaned in to kiss Lora’s forehead. “Thank you, Lora. For everything. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“We’re in this together,” she replied, her voice steady and filled with love. “We’ll get through this, and we’ll help Kaia heal. Just like we’ve helped each other.”
Asher wandered into the room, rubbing his eyes sleepily. “Mommy, Daddy, is Aunt Kaia okay?”
Azriel smiled softly and held out his arms to his son. “She’s okay, buddy. Thanks to you, we know
she’s not alone.”
Asher climbed onto his father’s lap, snuggling close. “Can I see her again tomorrow?”
Lora exchanged a look with Azriel before nodding.
The next day, Azriel took Asher to Kaia’s home. As they approached the sage-green house, Azriel felt a knot of anxiety tightening in his chest. He looked around, searching for any sign of his sister.

Luna Ceremony-1
The garden seemed eerily still as usual.

Asher, with the innocence and wisdom of a child, said, “Sometimes Aunt Kaia likes to stay hidden,
but she comes out later. We just have to wait.”
They waited in the garden, the minutes stretching into what felt like hours. Just as Azriel was about to give up and leave, Kaia emerged from the house. She froze when she saw her brother and nephew, her eyes widening in surprise. Instinctively, she turned to retreat back inside.
“Kaia, wait!” Azriel called out, his voice tinged with desperation. “Please, I need to talk to you.”
She stopped, hesitating at the threshold. Azriel took a deep breath and approached her slowly, not wanting to startle her. “Tomorrow is Lora’s Luna ceremony,” he began gently. “It would mean the world to me if you could attend. Please, Kaia. It would mean everything.”
Kaia’s expression was conflicted. She looked at Azriel, then at Asher, who was watching her with hopeful eyes. “I’ll think about it,” she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Azriel smiled at her full of hope.
The next day, the pack was a flurry of activity as preparations for the Luna ceremony reached their peak. The festive atmosphere was contagious, and everyone was working hard to ensure everything was perfect by 2 PM. The pack grounds were decorated with flowers, and a palpable sense of excitement filled the air.
Inside their home, Lora was a bundle of nerves. She paced back and forth, adjusting her ceremonial dress for the hundredth time. “What if something goes wrong?” she fretted. “What if I trip? What if-”
