Back in the Stormheart pack, Elora and Asher begin to adjust to their new surroundings. The pack members were warm and welcoming, but there was still a lot for them to learn and get used to. Asher, being a curious and bright child, adapted quickly to his new environment, making friends
with the other pups and exploring the pack.
Azriel and Elora decided it was time to reveal the truth to Asher-that he was a werewolf,
educating and preparing him for his future role within the pack.
“Asher,” Azriel began gently, “there’s something important we need to tell you about who you are
Asher looked up from his toy car, his young eyes filled with curiosity. “What is it, Daddy?”
Elora took a deep breath, her heart pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement. “Do you remember the stories about those special beings that are blessed by the Moon Goddess, that were called werewolves? Sweetheart, you are a werewolf. It’s something special that you inherited
from both of us.”
To their surprise, Asher didn’t seem shocked or confused. Instead, he nodded solemnly, his young
face serious. “I know.”
Azriel and Elora exchanged bewildered glances. “You know?” Azriel echoed, leaning forward. “How do you know, son? Someone already told you this?”
Asher looked at them with the wisdom of someone far older. “Bolt told me,” he said simply.
Elora’s breath caught in her throat, and Azriel’s eyes widened. “Bolt?” Azriel asked, his voice barely
above a whisper. “Who’s Bolt?”
“My wolf,” Asher replied, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “He talks to me
sometimes in my head.”
Elora and Azriel were stunned into silence. It was extremely rare for a young pup to communicate with their wolf spirit at such an early age. Typically, the connection with one’s wolf developed after they became 18 years old and were able to shift.
“Can you tell us more about Bolt?” Elora asked, her voice gentle but curious.
Asher nodded eagerly. “Bolt is really nice. He tells me stories and keeps me company. He says he’s
there to protect me and that we’re going to be strong together.”
Azriel’s heart swelled with pride and amazement. “You’re very special, Asher,” he said, his voice
filled with awe. “It’s very rare for someone your age to talk to their wolf.”

Asher beamed, clearly pleased with the validation. “Does this mean I’m like you, Daddy? A strong
werewolf? Bolt told me that you are very very strong.”
“Yes, Asher,” Azriel confirmed, pulling his son into a tight hug. “You’re going to be a very strong
werewolf, just like me.”
“Why didn’t you tell me till now about him?” Elora asked him in surprise.
Asher looked at the floor conflicted, “Bolt told me not to tell anyone about us… and … promised
him. I am sorry mommy; I didn’t want to lie to you.”
Elora joined the hug, tears of joy streaming down her face. “I am so proud of you, Asher. You’re
going to do amazing things and I totally understand. You respected your wolf’s wish.”
Asher nodded, satisfied with that answer, and returned to his toys, but not before giving his
parents one last hug.
As they watched their son play, Elora leaned into Azriel, her heart full. “We have an incredible boy,
Azriel. I can’t believe how strong and wise he is. I never guessed that he could speak with his wolf.
I am still in shock.”
Azriel kissed her forehead, feeling the weight of their journey lifting. “Yes, we do. And together,
we’ll make sure he has the best life possible. But, for now, let’s keep this between us and a few
chosen ones.”
As the evening wound down, the serene atmosphere of the villa was suddenly interrupted by the
ringing of Elora’s phone. She glanced at the screen and saw it was from the hospital where she
had worked tirelessly for years. Excusing herself, she answered the call, her voice gentle but firm.
“Hello, this is Dr. Walsh.”
Azriel watched her intently, his curiosity piqued. He could hear snippets of the conversation,
something about a morning shift and a critical shortage of staff. When Elora finally hung up, her
expression was one of resolve.
