She looked at him, and remembering Mary’s advice, she realized that she wanted to be fully transparent with him before getting marked and matted.
“Before issuing your acceptance, I need to tell you three more important things. You were tolerant and understanding and I don’t want any more secrets between us,” she added in a trembling voice.
Azriel looked at her curiously, “What are you hiding more, little dove? As you have given me lots of surprises since I met you.”
When he saw her tensing, he laughed, “Relax, I was just teasing you. Tell me. Whatever it is, we will figure it out.”
His encouragement gave Elora strength to continue.
“OK, let’s sit on the couch in the living room,” she said. Once seated face to face, she brought the
first topic, confessing that her real name was not Lora Walsh, but Elora Black. Also, she told him
the reason for changing her name and the fact that she is on the werewolf terror list.
Azriel’s brows furrowed in concern as Elora confessed her secrets, each revelation adding another
layer of complexity to their already tumultuous situation. “Elora Black?” he echoed softly, his mind reeling at the revelation of her true name. “And they placed you onja pack terror list?! Like, what the hell! Only the worst rogues and criminals are on that list.”
Elora nodded, her gaze steady despite the turmoil within her. “Yes,” she confirmed, her voice tinged
with bitterness. “They wanted to ensure that, even in death, I would always be marked. They knew
that I couldn’t survive a rejection and a banishment as an omega, and they still did it after they
threw me in that river.”
Azriel’s jaw tightened with anger, his fists clenching at his sides. “Those cowards,” he growled, his
voice low and dangerous. “To think they would stoop so low… Tell me from which pack you are,
and I will make sure that they will pay!”
“It is OK, Azriel, I just don’t want to hear about their names or have anything to do with them,” she
replied, exhausted.
Elora reached out and placed a hand on his arm, her touch gentle yet grounding. “But that’s not all,”
she continued, her voice wavering slightly. “There’s one last secret I need to tell you.”
Azriel’s gaze met hers, a silent question lingering in his eyes. “What is it?” he asked, his voice soft
yet urgent.
Elora took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to reveal. “I have a healing ability

and can diagnose any illness with one touch. No one aside from Mary is aware of it.”
Azriel listened intently as Elora revealed her final secret, his eyes widening in astonishment at her
revelation. “A healing ability? This is extremely rare for a wolf,” he echoed, his voice filled with
wonder.
Elora nodded, her gaze steady as she met his gaze. “Yes,” she confirmed, a hint of uncertainty lingering in her voice. “I discovered it while working in the hospital. I found that I could heal injuries
and illnesses with just a touch.”
Azriel’s mind raced with questions, his curiosity piqued by the incredible gift Elora possessed.
“How did you discover it?” he asked, his voice tinged with fascination.
Elora shrugged, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. “It was instinct, I suppose,” she
admitted. “I found that when I touched someone who was hurt or sick, I could feel their pain and I
could diagnose their suffering immediately. And somehow, I knew what to do to ease their
suffering.”
Azriel reached out and gently took her hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring. “That’s
incredible,” he murmured, his voice filled with awe.
Elora’s smile faltered slightly as she looked down at their joined hands. “I was afraid to practice more, so now I just use it to discover the illnesses,” she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. “I am afraid of the side effects, of what might happen if I used my gift too much, especially having Asher. And I had no access to the royal library to read more about it or any elders to guide me.”
Azriel squeezed her hand gently, his eyes soft with understanding. “You don’t have to be afraid anymore,” he assured her, his voice unwavering. “I’ll help you, Elora. We’ll figure this out together.”
Tears welled in Elora’s eyes as she leaned into his touch, overwhelmed by his unwavering support.
“Now you know the entire truth; no more secrets or hidden things,” she said in a tone full of relief.
Her confession was cathartic, and now she felt light like a feather.
“Actually, you still have a secret,” Azriel added as he caressed her hair.
“I do? What is it?” she asked him, confused.
“What is the name of your old pack?” Azriel asked, with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
Elora replied in a trembling voice, “Black Forest Pack”. It has passed that long since she ever said
that name.
Azriel nodded his head, “I see; don’t worry little dove. I will not do anything to them. I just want to
make sure that you would never come in contact with those scumbags.”

“Thank you, Azriel,” she replied, but she was surprised by his next words.
“Now, let’s make things officially a bit, don’t you think?” he said.
“What do you mean?” Elora replied, but his next words made her world stop.

“I, Azriel Storm, Alpha of the Stormheart Pack, accept you, Elora Black, as my mate and future Luna
of the pack.”
With a trembling voice she replied, still in disbelief, “I, Elora Black, accept you Azriel Storm, as my
mate and Alpha.”
Once she ended her words, they both felt how the mate bond became more powerful.
He smiled at her, as he said, “Now, let me help you pack. You can take just the essentials for now,
until you get settled.”
“Pack?” she said, confused.
“Yes, my little dove. It is time to become part of a pack again.”
