Serious Discussion I-2
Lora’s heart clenched at the raw emotion in his voice. She could feel his pain, his guilt, and it hurt her to see him carrying that burden. She shook her head gently, her hand squeezing his.
“Azriel,” she whispered, her voice firm but filled with love, “that’s in the past. You couldn’t have known. None of us could’ve predicted how things would turn out, and we can’t change what’s already happened. But what matters is that you’re here now. You’re with me now, and that’s all that I need. I survived those challenges, and they made me stronger. They brought me to you.”
Azriel’s eyes softened as he looked at her, the weight of her words slowly easing the tension in his heart. “But I should’ve been there,” he said, his voice still thick with emotion. “I should’ve been the one to protect you, to stand by your side when things got hard. To witness my son’s first steps, his first words…”
“You are here now,” Lora repeated, her voice steady. “And that’s what matters. You are an extraordinary mate and father! We can’t go back and change the past, but we can be grateful for how everything turned out. I’m grateful for where we are now, for the family we’ve built together, for our pack and our friends. Asher, the twins, and our future… all of it is because of what we’ve been through. And I wouldn’t change
any of it.”
Azriel stared at her for a long moment, his eyes filled with love and admiration. “You’re incredible,” he
murmured, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss on her forehead. “I don’t deserve you.”
Lora smiled softly, her heart swelling with affection for the man before her. “We deserve each other,” she
whispered. “We’re stronger together, Azriel. We always have been.”
They lay down together on the soft bed, their bodies naturally curling into each other as if they had always fit this way. Azriel held her close, his arms wrapped around her protectively as if he never wanted to let go. And Lora rested her head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart, a rhythm that reminded her of everything they had been through together, everything they had overcome.
As the moonlight bathed them in a soft glow, they both let go of the past and embraced the peace of the moment. The love they shared was unshakable, forged in trials, strengthened by time, and blessed by the
Moon Goddess herself.
“I love you,” Azriel whispered, his voice thick with emotion as he held her even tighter.
“I love you, too,” Lora replied softly, her eyes closing as she let the warmth of their bond surround her.
And in that moment, all was right in their world.
The soft rays of dawn filtered through the windows of the royal castle, casting a gentle glow across the room as Lora and Azriel prepared for their departure. They had stayed longer than anticipated, but with everything that had transpired the previous night, they needed the extra time to recover and reflect. Still, now it was time to return to their own pack, to their pups and the life they had built together.

for their journey. Despite the morning calm, there was an underlying excitement between them. They were eager to return home, but not without visiting Kaia, Markus, and their newborn son one last time.
As they made their way through the hallways of the castle, they reached the wing where Kaia and Markus were staying. The moment they entered, the sweet scent of new life hung in the air. Markus was standing by Kaia’s bedside, holding their tiny son with a proud smile on his face. Kaia looked tired but happy, her skin glowing with the joy of motherhood
Azriel approached Markus with a teasing grin, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Welcome to the sleepless nights and diaper changes, my friend,” Azriel teased, clapping Markus on the back.
Markus laughed heartily, the sound echoing through the room. “Oh, don’t I know it already! This little one’s got a set of lungs on him,” he replied, holding his son, Kaius, out for Azriel to see. The pride in Markus’ voice was unmistakable, and despite the exhaustion in his eyes, there was pure joy in his demeanor.
Azriel leaned in to get a closer look at the newborn, his expression softening. “He’s beautiful, Markus,” he said quietly, his teasing tone gone. “You and Kaia did well.”
