New Arrival-2
“He’s perfect,” Markus whispered, his voice hoarse. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to Kaia’s temple, his gratitude and love for her overwhelming.
Kaia managed a small, exhausted smile, still gazing at the baby. “He’s ours,” she said, tears of happiness slipping down her cheeks
The midwife, standing back with a proud smile on her face, announced, “Congratulations. You have a strong, healthy boy.”
The room seemed to glow with a soft warmth, the earlier tension and fear dissolving into pure joy. Stinger inside Markus was howling in pride and joy! Markus reached down and touched the baby’s hand, his heart swelling as his son gripped his finger with surprising strength. His throat tightened, and his voice broke as he murmured, “Our son…our little fighter.”
Kaia, despite her exhaustion, felt a surge of fierce pride. This was her child, the result of the love and bond she shared with Markus. She felt Sierra’s silent approval, a deep, contented rumble in her chest.
“What should we name him?” Kaia asked, looking at Markus with a tired but radiant smile.
Markus looked at her, his eyes filled with love. “How about Kaius?” he suggested softly. “A blend of both our names… strong, just like you.”
Kaia’s smile widened as she nodded. “Kaius… it’s perfect.”
As the baby finally settled in her arms, his cries fading into soft, sleepy breaths, Kaia leaned her head against Markus, closing her eyes in relief. She had done it. They had done it. Their son, Kaius, was here at last. And in that moment, with her mate by her side and their child in her arms, Kaia felt complete.
Markus held them both tightly, his heart full of more love than he ever thought possible. The dramatic and painful delivery, the fear, and the anticipation, all of it melted away as they shared this first quiet moment together as a family.
Later that night, the quiet warmth of the royal clinic was interrupted by soft footsteps as Azriel and Lora approached the room where Kaia and Markus rested. Azriel gently knocked on the door before pushing it open, his hand resting protectively on the small of Lora’s back. They stepped inside, their faces lit with anticipation and excitement.
Markus looked up, his face glowing with pride and a kind of raw emotion Azriel had rarely seen in his old friend. Kaia was lying in bed, looking tired but serene, cradling a small, bundled figure close to her chest. The soft, rhythmic breathing of the newborn filled the room with a sense of peace.
“Come in,” Markus said quietly, his voice still hoarse with emotion. “We have someone to introduce.”
Lora’s heart skipped a beat, her gaze shifting immediately to the tiny figure in Kaia’s arms. Her maternal instincts surged as she smiled, warmth spreading through her chest. She gently squeezed Azriel’s arm, and he returned the smile, though his usually stoic face softened in the presence of the newborn.

Azriel stepped forward, his towering figure moving silently as he approached the bed. Lora followed closely, her eyes shimmering with tenderness as she took in the scene before her. Kaia looked tired but radiant, and Markus, Markus looked like a man who had just seen the world change before his eyes.
“This is him,” Markus said, his voice filled with pride as he looked down at his son. “Kaius.”
Lora’s heart swelled as she sat down gently beside Kaia. “You’re going to be an amazing mother, Kaia,” she whispered. “And little Kaius is going to grow up surrounded by so much love. Also, about the pain, give me
a moment.” Closing her eyes, a warm glow surrounded Kaia and, to her surprise, she felt how her strength was replenished, and she could feel herself fully healed.
“Lora, you are a treasure!” Kaia exclaimed and Lora smiled amused, winking at her.
Kaia smiled, grateful for her friend’s words, as she gently cradled her son. Markus, standing close by, couldn’t take his eyes off his family. For a moment, the room was filled with quiet, peaceful energy, the
soft glow of the clinic’s lights casting a serene atmosphere over them all.
As they stood there together, Kaia and Markus with their son, and Azriel and Lora witnessing the birth of new life and new hope, it felt like a perfect, peaceful moment.
