Royal Ball-3

Azriel’s lips curled into a smirk, his eyes gleaming with that familiar, playful intensity. “Well, I have to

make sure I match my Luna, don’t I?”

She chuckled, leaning in to brush her lips against his in a soft kiss. “You always do.”

Hand in hand, they made their way out of the room, ready to face the night ahead. As they descended the grand staircase that led toward the ballroom, their coordinated outfits caught the

eyes of the few pack members they passed. Lora could hear the whispers of admiration, both for

Azriel’s commanding presence and her own radiant beauty. Together, they were the perfect

picture of strength and grace, the Alpha and Luna of the Stormheart pack.

As they neared the grand hall, the sound of music began to filter through the air: soft, elegant

notes of a live orchestra setting the atmosphere for the ball. The massive doors to the hall stood

open, and as they walked inside, they were met with a dazzling sight.

The ballroom was magnificent, a vast space with high, vaulted ceilings adorned with glittering chandeliers that sparkled like stars. The walls were draped in silver and navy banners, the colors of Stormheart, while elegant tables lined the edges of the room, filled with flowers and candles that flickered with soft light. In the center of the room, a grand dance floor awaited, already filled with

the Court and Council members, Alphas, and their mates who had traveled from far and wide to

attend.

When Azriel and Lora entered, the buzz of conversation momentarily quieted. All eyes turned to

them, and a palpable sense of awe filled the room. Lora felt a surge of pride and confidence wash

over her.

Kaia, already inside with Markus, caught Lora’s eye and gave her a beaming smile from across the

room. She looked radiant, despite her heavily pregnant state, and Lora was relieved to see her

friend enjoying the event, no longer weighed down by the physical discomforts she had helped

alleviate.

Azriel, ever attuned to Lora’s emotions, squeezed her hand lightly, his voice low as he whispered, ”

You’ve got this, my love.”

Lora nodded, taking a deep breath before allowing a serene smile to grace her lips. Together, they walked further into the hall, the music swirling around them, and the guests, one by one, began to bow or incline their heads in respect to their Alpha and Luna.

As they reached the center of the ballroom, Markus stepped forward to greet them, his eyes bright with pride. “Lora, Azriel, welcome to your night.”

Lora smiled, feeling the warmth of his words settle over her. “Thank you, Markus. Everything looks

beautiful.”

“You look beautiful,” Markus added with a grin, causing Lora to blush slightly. He then leaned in and whispered, “Lora,” he began, his voice low so that only she could hear, “there’s something I need to mention. A small warning, so you’re not caught off guard.”

She raised an eyebrow, feeling her heart rate spike slightly at the shift in his tone. “What is it?” she asked, keeping her voice calm but curious.

Markus hesitated for a brief moment, then exhaled before meeting her gaze head-on. “Alex

Blackwood is here tonight.”

Thank you for your dedication in reading this story. Sadly, the story is close to its end and until the end of this month I will upload the last chapters. It was an emotional journey, with the ups and downs, and I am feeling sad for wrapping up the story of Lora and Azriel. I still feel that there are many things to be said. So, I decided that I will start a new book, as a continuation, unravelling a new story called Warrior Luna and Her Dispell Poems. I believe that many of you are suspecting who the main characters will be, but there is still a lot to be unraveled.
