Debriefing-2

Azriel blinked in surprise, but a smile slowly spread across his face. “Well… I didn’t expect that,” he

admitted, clearly impressed.

Sky nodded enthusiastically. “You should see the new moves she’s teaching us. Different fighting styles, unconventional techniques, she’s really shaking things up. It’s awesome.”

At that moment, Tim’s expression shifted from pride to a possessive frown, his jaw tightening slightly as Sky continued to sing Dana’s praises. The sight of his reaction was too much for the

others to resist, and they all burst out laughing.

Azriel shook his head, still smiling. “It seems you’ve got yourself quite a woman there, Tim. I’m glad to hear she’s doing so well, and that she’s making such a positive impact on the pack.”

Tim, though still a bit flustered, nodded. “Yeah, she’s something special. And I’m proud of her. Ever

if she does keep me on my toes.”

The group shared a moment of camaraderie, the atmosphere lightening as they moved from the more serious matters to the personal. It was these moments, Azriel realized, that strengthened

their bonds and kept them united. No matter the challenges they faced, they could always rely on

each other, and that, more than anything, was their greatest strength.

As the laughter in the room began to die down, Azriel’s expression gradually shifted to a more serious one. The mood in the office followed suit, with James, Sky, and Tim all noticing the change

in their Alpha’s demeanor. They knew that when Azriel took on that tone, something important was

coming.

Azriel cleared his throat, his gaze sweeping across the faces of his trusted lieutenants. “Alright,

enough about that for now. It’s my turn to brief you on some developments. This isn’t something

light, so I need your full attention and ensure your full confidentiality on the info discussed here.”

The three men instantly straightened in their seats, all signs of humor fading as they prepared to

absorb whatever Azriel was about to tell them. The gravity in his voice made it clear that this was

not just a routine update.

“We’ve managed to capture Alena, who is your Luna’s sister … and we all know her despicable acts, Azriel began, his voice calm but with a noticeable edge. “She’s the source of the infection that’s been spreading like wildfire. The situation is far worse than we initially thought.”

James’s eyes widened in shock, his mouth opening slightly before he managed to regain control of his expression. Sky’s normally easygoing demeanor turned serious, his brows furrowing in concern. Tim looked taken aback, his hand unconsciously tightening into a fist on his lap.

Azriel continued, “Alena was working with the Lycans. She’s been spreading the infection Intentionally, targeting key figures and warriors. The infection she was spreading is highly contagious, and anyone who comes into direct contact with her is at risk. We’ve learned that the Lycans are behind this pandemic, and they’ve been hiding in plain sight, under the guise of military contractors.”

Sky couldn’t contain his disbelief, “Military contractors? Damn them… they’ve been right under our noses this whole time. Hiding in plain sight… It’s the perfect cover to train, gather weapons, and operate without raising too many suspicions.”

Azriel nodded grimly. “Exactly. Their cover was almost too perfect. Humans, wolves, everyone assumed they were just another group of ex-military. No one suspected they were using that cover to build and train their forces and spread this infection. The situation is more dire than we realized.

James shook his head slowly, processing the information. “And what about Alena? Did she give us anything useful?”

Azriel’s expression darkened. “She tried to lie and deceive us, even until the very end. Markus had to use his Alpha King command to force the truth out of her, but the information she gave us only confirms what we feared. The Lycans are organized, they’ve been preparing for a long time, and they have a way to protect themselves from the infection they’re spreading. Also, that they are working with a witch who created for them the damn disease and that the antidote is only with

that person. They’re a bigger threat than we anticipated.”

The room fell into a heavy silence as the weight of Azriel’s words sank in. Each of the men’s minds raced, trying to comprehend the enormity of the situation. The implications of what they had just learned were staggering.

Tim was the first to speak, his voice hushed. “Oh, Goddess… This changes everything.”

Sky nodded, still trying to wrap his head around it. “We’ve been focusing so much on external threats, keeping the infection at bay, protecting our borders, but this. They’ve been here the whole

time, preparing right under our noses.”

James looked at Azriel, his voice low and tense. “What’s the next move, Alpha? We can’t just sit on

this information.”
