Alena’s Fate-3

“And the infection?” Markus demanded, his voice still firm.

Alena whimpered, the pain in her head growing unbearable. “It was created by a witch, someone powerful… ancient. They promised me power and a Lycan beast if I helped them spread it, and the antidote… it’s not something you can easily obtain. The witch controls it. She can grant it to those she deems worthy.”

Markus’s eyes narrowed further as he listened, his anger simmering beneath the surface. He had forced the truth out of her, but it only deepened his disgust. This woman, who had once tried to manipulate him with her beauty and charm, had been a willing participant in a plan that could destroy countless lives, including their own species.

Alena collapsed to the ground, her body trembling with the aftermath of resisting the Alpha command. She looked up at Markus with a mixture of fear and loathing, knowing that she had lost whatever leverage she once thought she had.

Markus’s voice was cold as he spoke his final words to her, “You’ve sealed your fate, Alena. There

will be no mercy for you.”

Alena’s voice cracked with desperation as she watched Markus turn away from her. “No, please! Markus, don’t leave me here! Show me mercy, you’re my mate!” Her pleas echoed through the cold stone walls, her once confident tone now replaced with raw fear and despair. She clung to the bars of her cell, her knuckles white, her eyes wide with panic as she watched Markus’s back retreating.

Markus paused for a moment, his shoulders tense as he listened to her pitiful begging. Slowly, he turned to face her, his expression one of pure disgust. He had seen the depths of her cruelty, her willingness to manipulate and destroy for her own gain, and it sickened him.

“Even in your last moments, when you had a chance to confess and show some semblance of remorse, you still clung to your deception and your black heart,” Markus said, his voice cold and steady. Each word struck like a hammer, deliberate and unyielding. “You could have come clean, Alena. You could have chosen to make amends, but instead, you chose to lie and deceive until the very end.”

Alena’s breath caught in her throat, her eyes filling with tears. “I’m sorry,” she sobbed, but Markus

cut her off with a sharp glare.

“Sorry?” Markus echoed, his voice laced with contempt. “Sorry means nothing when you’ve destroyed so many lives, when you’ve caused so much pain. You did not hesitate to claim innocent lives, to spread agony and suffering wherever you went. Now, you’ll experience firsthand the very torment you unleashed on others.”

Alenas Fate 3

Alena’s face twisted in horror as she realized what he meant. “No… no, please, she begged, her voice rising in pitch as panic gripped her. “Don’t leave me here to die like this. Markus, I beg you, please… show me mercy. You’re my mate… you can’t do this to me.”

But Markus’s expression didn’t soften. If anything, it grew harder. “You are no mate of mine,” he replied, his tone final. “You’ll remain locked in this cell, provided with only water and food until the infection claims your life. There will be no easy way out for you, Alena. You’ll suffer as those you condemned suffered.”

Her cries grew louder, more frantic, as she reached through the bars, trying to grasp at him, but Markus stepped back, out of her reach. “No! Please! I’ll do anything, I’ll tell you everything! Please, don’t leave me like this! Elora! Sister!!! Please! I beg you!”

But her words fell on deaf ears. Markus and Lora turned away from her, their faces set in stone. This was a fate Alena had brought upon herself, and there was no room for mercy now.

As the four of them began to walk away, Alena’s screams grew more desperate, echoing through the dungeon like the cries of a dying animal. “Markus! Elora! Please!” she wailed, but there was no

response, only the sound of their footsteps retreating.

The heavy door to the dungeon slammed shut behind them, sealing Alena’s fate.
