Alena’s Fate-1

The hours dragged on as Lora, Azriel, and Layzal waited for Markus to arrive. The tension was

thick, each of them lost in their thoughts as they anticipated what was to come. When Markus

finally arrived at the coven, his presence was like a storm rolling in, powerful and undeniable. He

exchanged a few brief words with Layzal, Azriel, and Lora before they all made their way to the

dungeon, where Alena was being held.

The walk to the dungeon was silent, the only sounds being the echo of their footsteps on the cold

stone floors. When they reached the cell, the sight before them was pitiful. Alena was huddled in a

corner, her once proud and haughty demeanor reduced to a sniveling, desperate mess. She was weeping, her tears staining her pale cheeks as she rocked back and forth in misery while she kept on scratching her infected hand.

The moment she saw them enter, her eyes grew wide in shock, and then, as if seeing a lifeline, she rushed towards the metal bars. Her gaze was fixated on Markus, her desperation palpable.

“My mate! Markus, my love!” she cried out, her voice trembling with fear and desperation. “Please! Please show me mercy, for the sake of our bond. The Moon Goddess paired us for a reason, and

all I ever wanted was love and acceptance. Please, don’t turn your back on me!”

Her words, drenched in a mix of pleading and manipulation, echoed in the cold, dank cell. Markus,

however, remained unmoved. He stood there, his face a mask of cold indifference, looking at the woman who had once captivated him with her beauty and charm.

When Markus first met Alena, he was mesmerized by her. Her beauty, her allure, it had all been

intoxicating. But as the truth of who she was slowly unraveled before him, that instant infatuation

turned to disgust. He had learned of her cruel treatment of others, her manipulation, her disgusting

acts towards her own sister, her abandonment of Alex when she realized she was mated with him.

It had all sickened him.

And now, as he stood before her, hearing her desperate pleas, he was revolted by the depths of her deceit. He had thought there was nothing more she could do to surprise him, but learning that she

was the one spreading the pandemic, seducing foolish men with her beauty and infecting them, leading to the deaths of countless innocent lives, had filled him with a rage so intense it threatened

to consume him.

Markus’s eyes were harsh and unyielding as he looked down at Alena, who continued her sob story, oblivious to the cold fury brewing within him. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he spoke, his voice devoid of any warmth or compassion.

“Did you finish?” Markus’s tone was icy, his words slicing through the air like a blade.

Alena’s Fate-1

Alena froze at his cold response, her desperation morphing into terror as she realized that her usual tactics were failing. She began to sob harder, her voice trembling as she tried a different approach. “Look at what my own sister did to me,” she cried, holding up her infected hand as evidence. “I’m infected. Please, I beg you, show me mercy and command her to heal me.”

Markus stared at her, his expression unreadable as he lifted an eyebrow. He could see the venomous glare she shot at Lora, as if trying to assert her control over the situation. The look in her eyes was one of triumph, as if to say, See? All men bend to my will.

But Markus was no ordinary man. He was a king, and his patience with Alena had worn thin.

“If you’re truthful in your words,” Markus began, his voice calm but laced with underlying menace “and tell us what you know about the Lycans, we might have a deal.”

Alena’s face lit up with a twisted sense of victory. She nodded eagerly, adopting an innocent expression that was nothing more than a facade. “Anything for my true mate,” she cooed, her voice sickeningly sweet.

Markus could barely contain himself. His beast roared within him, demanding retribution for the lives she had taken and the pain she had caused. It took every ounce of his willpower not to snap her neck right then and there.
