Confession-1
Councilman Stone’s vision cleared further, and he found himself staring into the cold, steely eyes
of a masked figure. The room was sparse and dimly lit, with a single light bulb swinging above him, casting eerie shadows on the walls. His hands and feet were tightly bound to a metal chair, the coldness of the steel seeping through his clothes, sending shivers down his spine. He tried to use his werewolf strength, but a shiver of fear crossed his body when he realized that he had wolfsbane in his system. Trying to figure out who was in front of him, he tried his smell, but it seems that the interrogator masked his scent and aura. It could be anyone!
“Good evening, Councilman Stone,” the masked figure said, his voice distorted by some kind of modulator. “I trust you’re finding our accommodations… adequate?”
Stone struggled against his restraints, but they only dug deeper into his flesh. “Who are you? What do you want? Release me at this moment or the consequences would be severe for you. How dare you kidnap a member of the Werewolf Council?!”
The figure chuckled softly, a sound devoid of any warmth. “My identity is not important, and I am not that concerned about the Council. What is important is the truth. Now, Councilman, let’s start with an easy question. Why did Queen Tonya die yesterday?”
Stone’s mind raced, trying to find a way out of this predicament. “She was sick,” he stammered. “It
was her illness.”
The figure sighed, a sound of pure exasperation. “Councilman, we both know that’s not entirely true. Let’s try again. Why did Queen Tonya die yesterday?”
Sweat beaded on Stone’s forehead. “I… I don’t know what you mean.”
The figure moved closer, producing a small, sharp blade from their cloak. “I dislike lies, Councilman. They only make things… messy.” With a swift motion, the blade sliced across Stone’s cheek, drawing blood. He winced in pain, and he palled when he realized that it was a silver blade.
“Please! Please!” Stone gasped. “I swear I have no idea! I don’t know. She is in the royal morgue at
the moment.”
The figure’s head tilted slightly, as if considering this. “Hmm, then tell me about the deal you had with Queen Tonya. What were her orders?”
Stone’s eyes widened in fear. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. She was my Queen.”
The figure sighed again, this time producing a pair of pliers. “Councilman, you will find that my patience is rather limited. Tell me about the Queen and the Stormheart Pack attack!” They grabbed Stone’s left hand, forcing his fingers apart. With a swift, brutal motion, they clamped the pliers

around his fingernail and began to pull.
Stone screamed, his body writhing in agony. “Stop! Stop, please! I’ll tell you!”
The figure paused, the pliers still in place. “Go on.”
“Queen Tonya… she ordered me to hire rogues,” Stone said, his voice trembling. “She wanted them
to attack the Stormheart pack.”
The figure loosened the grip of the pliers, but didn’t let go entirely. “And why would she do that?
“She… she was jealous,” Stone continued, tears streaming down his face. “Jealous of Luna Storm and the growing power of that pack. She couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else having the king’s attention or competing with the Royal Pack in strength and power. She wanted them all
dead.”
The figure released the pliers, stepping back slightly. “So you hired the rogues. You orchestrated the attack on Stormheart. And in exchange, she promised you… what? What was your payment?”
Stone sobbed, the pain in his fingers throbbing. “She promised that my daughter Angelika would become queen. That Markus would be her mate.”
The figure was silent for a moment, considering this. “And did you ever question her orders, Councilman? Did you ever think about the lives you were destroying?”
Stone’s sobs turned to bitter laughter. “Of course I did. But power… power makes you blind. I thought if I could make my daughter queen, it would all be worth it. Plus, Stormheart pack became way too proud and powerful.”
The figure leaned in close, his voice a menacing whisper. “And now? Was it worth it?”
