Despite his best efforts, Azriel couldn’t find peace that night. Restlessly, he tossed and turned, his mind racing with the day’s shocking revelations. Lora hugged him tightly, trying to lend him her strength, but the storm inside him was too great.
“It’s okay, my love,” Lora said softly, her voice filled with care. “All will be fine. Do you need anything? Talk to me; we are in this together.”
Azriel squeezed his eyes shut, allowing his fears and insecurities to surface. “I almost lost Kaia today… again. If it wasn’t for you, I would have lost my sister, and Queen Tonya would have gotten away with it, again. Damn that woman! She always posed as an ally, as a friend. I feel sick remembering her sadness and words at the funeral of my parents, knowing now that she was the one behind it. How did she do it? My parents didn’t hurt anyone. Just because she was jealous and insecure?! And now, trying to hurt my sister and her baby. I still feel like I’m in a bad dream.”
Lora soothed him, gently stroking his back. “All will be okay. I know it must be painful, and whatever you need, I am here for you. Try to rest for now. Thanks to the Moon Goddess that Kaia is okay. Tomorrow is another day, and Markus will help bring justice to the accomplice councilman. Rest, my love.”
Azriel took a long, deep breath, drawing comfort from her presence. He took Lora in his arms, holding her close. “Thank you for everything, my dove. You are my savior, our blessing, my everything.”
As the night wore on, Lora continued to hold Azriel, whispering words of comfort and
encouragement. Slowly, the storm inside him began to calm, though the pain and anger still lingered.
Azriel lay in the darkness, staring at the ceiling, replaying the events of the day over and over in his mind. The image of Queen Tonya, the venom in her eyes and her words haunted him. The realization that she had orchestrated his parents’ deaths tore at his heart. His mind raced with questions: How had she hidden her true nature so well? How had she managed to deceive everyone, including himself?
Lora’s soft breathing beside him was a reminder that he wasn’t alone. He turned to look at her, her face serene even in sleep. She had been his rock, his anchor in the storm. He couldn’t imagine facing this without her.
“We are trully blessed with her in our lives,” Thunder spoke in his head in a low tone.
Azriel finally began to drift off to sleep, his mind still heavy but his heart a little lighter. Tomorrow, they will face challenges together. With Lora by his side, he felt he could conquer anything. She

was his strength, his hope, and his future.
As dawn approached, Azriel’s thoughts quieted, and he fell into a fitful sleep, holding Lora close.
Outside the confines of the Royal Palace, a different scene unfolded in a residence where Angelika
Stone, fueled by fury, unleashed her rage. She smashed objects, screamed at omegas, and created havoc that shook the walls. Her mother tried in vain to calm her down, but her temper/was beyond
control.
Distracted by the commotion, Councilman Stone entered the room, his face a mask of displeasure.
“What on earth do you think you’re doing, Angelika? Have you gone mad?” he demanded, his voice
laced with anger.
But Angelika continued to rage, her voice piercing the air. “You promised, Father! You promised
that Markus would be mine! My husband, my mate! That I would be queen! I even picked out my
dress and everything, and he crowned that damaged and used goods as our queen! What
happened, Father?” Her voice cracked with betrayal and desperation.
Councilman Stone clenched his fists in frustration. “I know, my sweet girl, but something went
wrong,” he attempted to explain, his tone strained.
“Went wrong!? You are useless, all just talk,” Angelika screamed, her voice rising to a crescendo. “It
all went to hell!” She seethed with bitterness. “Kaia is our new queen, Father! There’s no turning
back! You promised!”
At that moment, Councilman Stone’s patience snapped. With a swift motion, he backhanded his
daughter, sending her sprawling to the floor. “Enough! Watch your words, Angelika, and don’t
forget your place,” he thundered, his voice echoing in the room. “Stop acting like a spoiled child! I’ve had enough. I will look into this, and I assure you, you will become queen. So stop acting like a child and start behaving like a queen. Compose yourself; you are acting pathetic.”
