“Did you arrive well and manage to get some rest, my superstars? The entire supernatural world is speaking about your accomplishments.” Markus asked, his voice said.

Azriel nodded, offering a grateful smile. “Yes, we did. Thank you for your support, Markus. Your assistance was invaluable to get out of the last mess with the vampires.”

Markus laughed heartily. “You probably did Layzal a favor by dealing with Stephan. That damn vampire was always a thorn in his side, sometimes even influencing his uncle, the Vampire King to be more radical. Layzal is more progressive in thinking and he will make a better king. Congratulations to your new pack member, Dana.”

Azriel and Lora chuckled, appreciating the lighthearted moment. “Thank you, Markus,” Azriel said. “She’s fitting in well already.”

After a brief pause, Azriel’s expression grew serious. “Do you have any news about Lora’s new power and the red haze?”

Markus nodded, his demeanor shifting to match the gravity of the question. “Alongside Kaia, we’ve been researching the Royal Library. We uncovered a new scroll that sheds some light on this. It appears that the Goddess’s Gift is always balanced by something called Omega’s Fury. This means that the selected one can be both the angel of life and the angel of death. Both forces exist within her, and they coexist in balance with each other.”

Azriel and Lora exchanged shocked glances, the weight of Markus’s words sinking in. “So, Lora can heal and… destroy?” Azriel asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Markus nodded. “Yes, it seems so. The scroll describes this power as a dual-edged sword. It’s rare, but it’s both a blessing and a curse. Lora, you have the potential to save and to take lives. It’s a delicate balance you’ll need to master.”

Lora’s mind raced, the implications of her newfound power overwhelming her. “How do I control it? How do I ensure I don’t hurt anyone?”

Markus leaned closer to the screen, his expression sympathetic. “It’s going to take time, Lora. The scroll was saying that the Omega’s Fury gets activated when you ae facing injustice. You’ll need to train and understand the limits of your power. Kaia and I will support you every step of the way. You’re not alone in this.”

Azriel reached out and took Lora’s hand, squeezing it reassuringly. “We’ll get through this together,” he said, his voice firm and determined.

Lora nodded, drawing strength from Azriel’s unwavering support. “Thank you, Markus. We’ll do

whatever it takes to master this.”

As the weight of the revelation about Lora’s powers settled, Markus cleared his throat, drawing Azriel and Lora’s attention back to the screen.

“There’s another matter we need to discuss,” Markus began, his expression growing more serious. “At the moment, only one pack remains infected on our list, the Black Forest Pack,… Lora’s former pack. They’ve been reaching out desperately for help, and the calls are increasing. Lora, have you made a decision on how you want to proceed?”

Lora’s heart sank at the mention of the Black Forest pack. She knew their situation was dire, and

the pressure to act weighed heavily on her. She took a deep breath, looking at Azriel for support

before turning back to the screen.

“I understand the urgency, Markus,” she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil she felt inside.

haven’t made a final decision yet, but I promise you, I will soon. I just need a little more time. It

should be a fast decision, but… I just…”

Markus nodded, his expression softening. “I don’t want to put pressure on you, Lora, but we need

to have a decision as soon as possible. The situation there is critical.”

Lora nodded, her determination growing. “I understand. I’ll have an answer for you soon.”

“Thank you,” Markus said, his voice filled with gratitude. “We appreciate everything you’re doing.

Please, take care and get some rest.”

With that, Markus bid them farewell and ended the call, leaving Lora and Azriel alone in the quiet

office. They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the conversation hanging in the air.

Azriel reached out, taking Lora’s hand in his. “We’ll figure this out,” he said softly. “And whatever

decision you will make, you have my full support.”
