Morning Tea-2

With a determined look, she dried her hair and dressed quickly. She knew what she had to do. She had to find a witch, someone powerful enough to remove the mark. It was a long shot, but it was the only hope she had.

She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead. She would find a way to make things right, no matter the cost, no matter what it took. Tim’s life was worth fighting for, and she would do whatever it took to protect him, even if it meant that he would hate and despise her.

With newfound determination, she left the room, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. She

had a mission now, a purpose.

Dana was making her way down the hallway, lost in her thoughts, when she was surprised to find Luna Lora standing in front of her. The short blonde woman had an air of calm command that was impossible to ignore. Dana nodded politely and tried to bypass her, but Lora blocked her path.

“Good morning, Dana. Would you like to have some early morning tea together?” Lora’s tone was friendly but firm.

Dana opened her mouth to decline, but before she could speak, Lora had already turned and was heading towards the kitchen. Dana cursed under her breath, realizing she had no choice but to

follow the determined Luna.

As they reached the kitchen, Dana watched with a mix of frustration and curiosity as Lora moved about the unfamiliar space with ease, preparing tea as if she were in her own home. The blonde woman had a way of making the mundane seem graceful.

“Have a seat,” Lora said, not looking up from her task.

“I really need to go,” Dana began, but Lora cut her off with a single word: “Sit.”

Reluctantly, Dana complied, sitting down at the kitchen table. She felt a mix of irritation and

respect for Luna’s no-nonsense attitude.

Soon enough, Lora was seated across from her, two cups of steaming tea in front of them. She

fixed Dana with a long, assessing look before commenting, “Nice mark.”

Dana’s hand flew to her neck, realizing too late that she had instinctively tried to hide the mark,

which was already covered by her leather jacket. Lora’s smirk told her that her reaction had been

noted.

“Werewolf senses,” Lora said simply, taking a sip of her tea.

Dana sighed, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over her. “What do you want, Luna Lora? I really

need to leave somewhere urgently.”

Lora sat across from Dana, her eyes filled with concern. “I sensed a very distressed Tim earlier, and my mate, Azriel, went after him to make sure he was okay. So, spill it, Dana. What’s going on?”

Dana looked away; her jaw clenched. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Sensing her distress, Lora’s gaze softened. “Many years ago, I was rejected by my first mate, banished from my pack, and left to die. I was alone and desperate, but I found kindness and support from an unknown woman named Mary who took me under her wing. It’s not easy to trust, but there is still good in this world. You don’t need to go through difficulties alone.”

Dana’s eyes filled with tears, and she shook her head. “No one can help me.”

Lora nodded slowly. “Maybe not. But it helps to share the burden. You don’t need to be alone.”

Lora’s words touched something deep within Dana, and a dam broke inside her. She began to speak, her voice trembling. “I was sold by my family many years ago following their gambling

addiction and purchased by the king’s nephew, Stephan. He made me his pet, his slave. My life

doesn’t belong to me. I’ve endured countless tortures, abuses, beatings and r***s for more than fifteen years.”

Lora’s face was a mask of shock, but she remained silent, letting Dana continue.

“I worked hard to be noticed by Prince Layzal as a warrior and was given a spot, which brought me

a heavy punishment. But it was my only way to make this life bearable, to have a purpose, to find a

meaning. Now that I’ve met Tim, I know Stephan will kill him if I don’t act cold and dismissive

towards him by rejecting him. Stephan is manipulative, cruel, sick in his mind, possessive, and

powerful. I am his property! This is why I reject Tim and I can’t accept our bond. And now… how he

almost killed himself when he marked me without my consent. If anyone finds out about the mark,

it will be the end. No one can save him if the word gets out, no one. And even if he lives, he will feel

each time Stephan will have me; I can’t let this happen.”

“And what Tim have to say about this?” Lora asked.

With a long breath, Dana replied, “He left me alone in the room after I told him that I belonged to

someone else for fifteen years. I didn’t get the chance to tell him more, as he rushed angry outside. Actually, it helps if he resents me. In this way, it will make things easier for him.”

Lora took a deep breath, trying to process everything Dana had just revealed. “What do you want to

do?” she asked, her voice filled with concern.

Dana’s eyes were filled with determination and desperation. “I need to find a witch and break the

bond. There’s no other way.”

help.”

Dana shook her head sadly. “It won’t work. Even if, by some miracle, you succeed in purchasing me, Stephan is a vengeful man. He would do everything in his power to kill Tim. There’s no way out.

Lora looked at her with a mix of sadness and determination. She approached Dana and placed her hand gently on Dana’s neck. Dana felt a warm, glowing light emanate from Lora’s hand, soothing

and calming.

After a few moments, Lora stepped back. “This should buy you some time,” she said.

Dana touched her neck under her jacket, feeling the smooth skin where the mark had been. “What did you do?” she asked, her voice filled with wonder.

Lora smiled softly. “I healed the marking place so it won’t be too obvious, but your mark is still there. You’ll need to use some cosmetics to make it fully invisible. Also, I have a masking spray that can help you lose your scent as a marked woman, for now.”

Tears filled Dana’s eyes as she looked at Lora. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice trembling with

emotion.

Lora held Dana’s hands firmly. “You’re not alone in this, Dana. Don’t go anywhere for now or make any rash decisions. The other vampires would report your absence, and it would only lead to more trouble. We need to take action with caution. I’ve got your back.”

Dana couldn’t hold back her emotions any longer. She stepped forward and hugged Lora tightly, tears streaming down her face. “Thank you,” she repeated, her voice choked with gratitude.

Lora hugged her back, providing the comfort and support Dana desperately needed. “We’ll figure this out together,” Lora said softly. “You have more strength than you know, you are a survivor, and we’re here to help you through this. Your well-being is my concern. Now you have become part of my pack, even if you like it or not.
