Stinger’s response was firm. “We are Alphas. We should act like one. Sierra and Kaia need to feel our

power, dominance, and our ability to protect them. We are not joking about this.”

Markus took a deep breath, absorbing Stinger’s words. “You’re right. We need to show them that we are serious and capable of providing the safety and support they need.”

In the coming days, Stinger continued to talk to Sierra, persistently trying to woo her with his

sincerity and gentle strength. He opened up about his own experiences, sharing the heartbreak he

and Markus went through with their fated mate. He expressed their mutual desire for someone to

love, cherish, and share both the good and the bad times.

Each day, Sierra seemed hesitant but showed up to meet Stinger. During their conversations,

Stinger patiently listened and offered his support. He knew that gaining her trust was crucial, and

he was willing to take things slowly.

In their latest exchange, Stinger decided to address a crucial point. “Sierra, where is your human,

Kaia?” he asked cautiously.

Sierra seemed unsure. “I don’t know,” she admitted softly, ready to leave.

Stinger encouraged her, “Reach out to her, Sierra. Regardless of whether you choose to accept or reject us, you need to connect with her. Both of you deserve a chance to heal and move forward.”

Sierra’s voice was filled with uncertainty. “What if Kaia rejects me? I feel that I failed her repeatedly.”

“As inner beasts, it’s our duty to be there for our humans,” Stinger replied firmly. “We need to be strong

for them, to support and guide them. Give it a try, Sierra. Don’t give up on Kaia, and don’t give up on yourself. Plus, if you aren’t open to her, you will not know the truth. Maybe she feels that she failed

you.”

Sierra pondered his words, her presence filled with a mixture of hope and fear. “I’ll try,” she finally said in a shy and low voice, before retreating into the depths of Kaia’s mind once more.

Stinger returned to Markus’s consciousness, sharing the progress of his latest conversation.

Markus was both relieved and anxious, knowing that Sierra’s willingness to reach out to Kaia was a crucial step. He could feel hope growing within him, though he knew the journey ahead would still

be challenging.

Markus leaned in closer to Kaia, his voice filled with tenderness. “Kaia, we’re here for you. Sierra is

trying to reach you. Please, let us in. We want to help you heal, to bring you back to us.”

As the night continued, Markus chose to remain by her side, holding onto the fragile hope that Kaia

and Sierra would find their way back to each other. He could only hope that, with patience, love,

and unwavering support, they could overcome the darkness that had enveloped them for so long.

Sierra was conflicted, but influenced by Stinger’s words of wisdom, she began to see things more clearly. Despite her heartbreak when they lost their mates, she realized that she had failed in her

primary duty: to be there for her human side. She had been so weakened by the pain and the realization of Kaia’s past that she couldn’t gather the strength to be there. She had seen herself as

a failure.

But this had to stop. Sierra had never considered a chosen mate, yet now they had one of the top

alphas, an Alpha King, wanting to take them as his chosen mate. This filled her with a mix of

anticipation and curiosity. Determined to make things right, she starts to wander within Kaia’s

mind, seeking her human counterpart.

After what felt like an eternity of searching through the maze of Kaia’s memories and emotions,

Sierra found her in an imaginary garden filled with roses. Kaia was sitting on a bench, her face

serene but tinged with sadness, lost in thought.

Sierra approached her cautiously, her presence gentle and non-threatening. “Hello, Kaia,” she said

softly, her voice carrying a blend of hope and regret.

Kaia looked up, her eyes widening in surprise. “Sierra?” she whispered, her voice trembling. “Is it

really you?”

Sierra nodded, her eyes reflecting the depth of her feelings. “Yes, it’s me. I’m so sorry, Kaia. I should

have been there for you. I should have been stronger. Please forgive me.”

Kaia’s eyes filled with tears as she reached out, her hand trembling. “I thought I had lost you. You

look so weak,” she said, her voice breaking. “I felt so alone and, because of me, our mate rejected us.

Sierra stepped closer, taking Kaia’s hand in hers. “Never say that. It was not your fault, Kaia. I was

lost in my own pain and guilt, blaming myself for our rejection. But we need each other, Kaia. We can’t

let the past define us. We have a chance to heal, to move forward.”

Kaia looked at her wolf, a mixture of emotions playing across her face. “But how? How can we heal

after everything that’s happened? It is too late, Sierra. It is just hurting too much! Each day is a battle.

The nightmares, the memories,…are always with us.”

Sierra nodded her head gently. “We have to be strong for each other. And there’s something else.

Stinger, the Alpha King’s wolf, has been reaching out to us. They want to help us, to be our chosen

mates.”

Kaia’s eyes widened in shock. “A chosen mate? Markus’ wolf?! But… why would they choose us?”

Sierra smiled softly. “Because they see our worth, Kaia. We have a chance to build something new

something beautiful. But we have to try. We have to give ourselves a chance.”

Kaia looked into Sierra’s eyes, seeing the determination and hope there. Slowly, she nodded. “I am not sure that I can, Sierra. I am too damaged for this, but… I will give it a try just for you. You deserve

more from your human side than me. You were unlucky to be paired with me.”

“Never say this, I am proud to have you as my human side. We just need to find a way. We deserve to

be happy.” Sierra replied with conviction.

Sierra approached her and sat her weak head on her lap as they stood in silence after this, while

Kaia, with a trembling hand, touched her fur with gentle moves, while her heart was ready to

explode in her chest from their conversation.

She was confused and conflicted. Was Markus telling the truth, or was he just trying to lure them

back to recovery? It seemed that only time would tell, but she could not deny that she felt terrified
