In a deserted corner, Matthew watched Gordon’s assassination unfold through a pair of binoculars. His eyes burned with fanatic excitement. “You did it! You actually did it! You really did! You’re even more amazing than imagined! I don’t care if you’re Amos or Aurum, I’ll find you. I definitely will!”
By this time, Autumn had already reached the wall. In front of her was a dog hole.
This hole had been dug by the refugees outside the city.
It was originally only half-finished until the undercover team discovered it; they dug out the rest, connecting the tunnel all the way through.
“Asher, go, hurry!” one of the moles urged Autumn.
“Stay safe, stay hidden.” Autumn only had time to give a quick warning before ducking down and scrambling right through the
tunnel.
Whether crawling through the dog hole was embarrassing or not didn’t matter.
Completing the mission was all that mattered.
After Autumn left, the hole was immediately blocked up. The mole quickly retreated, wiping away every trace.
“Autumn, over here!” As soon as Leonel saw Autumn emerge, he immediately waved her over. “Hurry!”
‘Coming!” Autumn rushed over. “Where’s Beckett?”
‘He beat you here by a minute,” Leonel answered. “Fall back!”
The pod quickly submerged.
Ripples spread across the surface, erasing their last traces.
Less than three minutes after the pod disappeared beneath the sea, the pursuers caught up.
They looked around but found nothing. Then, they stomped their feet in frustration and fired wildly into the water.
‘Holy shit! They fucking got away again! What do they think our shelter is? A public restroom? Coming and going whenever they want!” The man leading the team was so furious he coughed up blood. He jumped around in rage, but there was nothing he could 10.
Autumn and the others stayed underwater for a full day. It wasn’t until late into the night that they slowly surfaced and rowed away as quietly as possible.
They really did paddle in complete silence.
To avoid making any noise, they paddled by hand, only switching on the electric motor after putting five miles of distance behind
them.
They made a clean break and disappeared without a trace.
However, Gordon’s death completely threw the central shelter into chaos.

Chapter-210 Escape
Sordon was the head of the shelter, after all, so his death brought a mountain of trouble.
On top of that, he died so suddenly he didn’t even have time to make any arrangements.

When Griffin heard that his dad was dead, he immediately rushed in to take control of his dad’s resources and connections, busy nheriting everything.
Meanwhile, the Carters, the Blakes, and the Yorks finally could no longer hold back. They decided to use this opportunity to >verthrow Griffin and take power for themselves.
The already unstable central shelter completely fell into chaos.
f this had happened in the past, it would’ve caused an uproar.
But this time-maybe because Autumn had stripped them clean-the whole thing barely made a ripple. Not even as loud as last ime.
Maybe poverty had something to do with that.
Of course, none of that was Autumn’s problem anymore.
They wrapped things up without a hitch and made a smooth escape.
For the time being, the central shelter wouldn’t be causing Karthmoor any trouble. They’d be too busy fighting among themselves
or power.
Besides, the mutant animals and plants were coming soon.
‘I’m dead tired! I’m taking a nap.” After shouting that out, Autumn instantly fell asleep.
Beckett and Leonel chuckled helplessly and shook their heads/
She was still young, after all!
she really had worked herself to the bone.
she’d practically carried the entire mission herself.
She was almost too capable. It made them look almost useless.
When Autumn woke up, she was so out of it that she couldn’t tell what day it was.
‘You’re up? Have something to eat.” Leonel handed her a boxed meal.
“How long did I sleep? Where are we?” Autumn asked.
“You slept for ten hours. It’s hard to say where we are. We’re still drifting on the sea,” Leonel replied. “But the direction should be right.”
“Yeah, it’s raining again.” Autumn looked out the window. “Still acid rain.”
“Yeah, it started again,” Leonel said. “The rain came at a good time. At least it slowed down anyone coming after us. Now that we’re gone, people inside and outside the city are probably going to suffer again.”
