Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 425

Phoenix seized that momentary opening without mercy.

Her strikes rained down like a relentless storm—jabs to the chest, chops to the throat, knees to the stomach. Every brutal technique she had mastered in that hellhole descended upon the bodyguard, leaving him completely defenseless.

Channeling her momentum, Phoenix launched herself into the air and delivered a crushing flying kick squarely to the man's chest.

The bodyguard flew back several feet like a broken kite, hitting the ground hard. He twitched twice, entirely overwhelmed by the impact, before his head lolled to the side, completely unconscious.

"Phew—" Phoenix exhaled slowly, her eyes shifting to Pierce standing nearby.

The man had finished his fight at the exact same moment.

Groaning bodyguards littered the floor in total defeat.

"Phoenix, are you okay?" Pierce asked as he walked over. A thin layer of sweat dotted his forehead, but his tailored suit was spotless. Only his deep eyes betrayed his undisguised concern.

"I'm fine," Phoenix shook her head, glancing over the wreckage, her voice serious. "These guys are highly trained operatives, way beyond normal security. The Quincy Family of Highcrest really does have deep pockets."

Pierce shoved his hands into his pockets with an air of nonchalance, scanning the mess. "From the way Isabella was talking, these elite guys were probably just cannon fodder to test the waters."

He paused, his tone dropping. "That woman... is a special kind of psycho."

Phoenix looked ahead.

The casket was now entirely engulfed in roaring flames, lighting up half the room in an orange glow.

Staff rushed frantically to put it out, but the fire was too intense. By the time they extinguished it, Warren's body would be nothing but charred remains.

Yara was right. Isabella was a complete lunatic.

To show up, set a body on fire, and snatch another corpse—no sane person would pull a stunt like that.

"Let's go," Phoenix said, pulling her gaze away. She walked out shoulder to shoulder with Pierce.

Outside the hall, Vanessa was slumped on the ground, entirely drained, tears streaming down her face. It was hard to tell if her heart-wrenching sobs were mourning Warren's gruesome end or regretting her own foolishness.

Phoenix walked past her without offering a single glance.

From now on, their paths would never cross again. They were nothing to each other.

Inside a black sedan, Isabella listened quietly to the report over the phone.

Hearing that her entire security detail had been wiped out, not a single ripple of emotion showed on her flawless face.

She ended the call, a layer of frost settling over her eyes as a cruel smile tugged at her lips. "Phoenix Prescott, Pierce Sterling... No wonder you drove Warren to such a pathetic state. You do have some skills."
