Chapter 221-Exposing The Blood Money Ledger

O

“This is the truth, I announced. I grabbed the spare microphone from the podium stand. “Over the past three weeks, the Johnston Group suffered a series of devastating setbacks. Cargo ships hijacked. The Aegis logistics mainframe breached. A rival shipping feet, Vanguard, purchased with dark money to strangle

our eastern sector routes.”

I looked at Oliver Pembroke. The smug smile fell off his scared face. The color drained from his skin.

“We blamed a shadow syndicate, I continued. “We searched the dirt. But the dirt was just a distraction. The money funding the destruction of our empire

came from a single source.”

I pointed to the top of the spreadsheet.

“A dormant offshore account in Cyprus,” I read the numbers aloud. “Registered under the estate of Thomas Whitmore.

A gasp ripped through the front row. Investors leaned forward. The flashbulbs erupted, a frantic storm of light capturing the data on the screen.

“Julian Whitmore stood on the courthouse steps and called me a fraud,” I said. My voice turned to steel. The Chairman returned, executing a flawless, fatal strike “He claimed I was the hostile takeover. But Julian held the power of attorney for Thomas Whitmore’s estate. Julian authorized the transfer of three billion dollars to the eastern syndicate. He paid criminals to hijack our ships. He paid hackers to breach our servers. He orchestrated a terror campaign against this company to drive the stock price into the ground, creating a crisis only he could solve.”

“Lies!” Julian shouted. He abandoned the polished cadence. His voice cracked. The panic bled through. He grabbed the edges of the podium. “This is fabricated evidence! She is a desperate, ruined woman trying to destroy the man who exposed her!”

‘Fabricated?” I asked.

I gestured to the technician. “Scroll to the digital authorization receipts.”

The screen shifted. A block of text appeared. The decryption key highlighted the final line in bright, damning red.

The silence in the room transformed into a suffocating, heavy dread. The board members stared at the screen. They realized they just handed the keys of the

empire to the man who burned their ships.

“You used your sister,” I stated. I turned to face Julian. I stripped his dignity away piece by piece. “You needed Celeste to set up the shell companies because you did not understand the Whitmore banking ciphers. You forced her to move the blood money. And when the marshals locked her in solitary confinement,

you paid the guards to put glass in her food. You tried to murder your own blood to cover your

tracks.”

Julian’s face turned gray. The aristocratic arrogance shattered. He looked like a cornered rat.

‘Oliver!” Julian snapped, turning toward his puppet. “Tell them! Tell them she is lying!”

Oliver Pembroke took a step backward. He looked at the screen. He looked at the undeniable proof. Then, he looked at Tristan.

Tristan did not move. He did not speak. He offered Pembroke a single, cold stare. A promise of absolute destruction.

Pembroke broke.

I… I just signed the papers for Vanguard, Pembroke stammered, raising his hands in surrender. He backed toward the stage exit. He gave me the money. Julian gave me the money. I had nothing to do with the hijackings!”

Chapter 221 Exposing The Blood Money Ledger

The oud-erupted: Shouts: Curses. The board members amped to their feet. The investors realized the magnitude of the betrayal.

“Shut up!” Julian screamed at Pembroke. The facade completely dissolved. He looked exactly like Thomas Whitmore in his final, pathetic moments. A tyrant

stripped of his power.

“You want to talk about murder?” I asked. I did not raise my voice. I let the cold, dead certainty of my tone cut through the shouting.

I tossed the black leather folder onto the glass podium. It hit the surface with a heavy thud.

“Alexander Redford,” I announced.

The name silenced the room again. The legend of Tristan’s right-hand man lived in the walls of the headquarters.

“Three days ago, Julian sent a private military contractor to Colombia,” I said. I opened the folder. I pulled out the printed hit list. “He did not send them to capture a witness. He sent them with hollow-point ammunition and fragmentation grenades. He sent them to execute Alexander Redford. He sent them to

e sent execute my husband. He sent them to execute my four-year-old son.”

I held the paper up. The blood roared in my ears. The mother bear woke up, demanding a carcass.

“Julian Whitmore is not a savior,” I declared. “He is an assassin. He used the Serrano Trust as a smokescreen to systematically slaughter the Johnston family. He wanted to take the throne from our corpses.”

Julian lunged.

He abandoned the lawyers. He abandoned the podium. He snapped. He lunged across the stage, reaching for my throat.

He never made it.

Tristan moved with the terrifying speed of a apex predator. He grabbed Julian by the collar of his bespoke suit. He spun the man around and slammed him face-first into the surface of the glass podium. The glass cracked under the impact.

“Breathe on her,” Tristan whispered, pressing his forearm against the back of Julian’s neck, pinning him to the shattered glass. “Take one breath in her direction, and I will break your spine in front of five thousand witnesses.”
