Besides, billiards was just applied physics and geometry, mixed with a tiny bit of luck...
And today, her luck had clearly been off the charts.
Even after all this time away from the table, she had managed to run it entirely.
Meanwhile, the moment Scarlett heard Hudson call Nora 'Honey,' she froze completely.
This woman was the legendary Mrs. Lancaster?
Wasn't it supposed to be a loveless, superstitious arrangement?
Then why was Hudson looking at her with such absolute devotion?
Seeing Hudson wrap his arm around Nora to leave, Seth quickly chased after them. "Nora, you still haven't said if you'll teach me..."
Nora felt a bit exasperated, but she could tell he genuinely loved the game. "Maybe when I have some free time. I'll show you a couple of tricks..."
"Really? Let me get your number!"
Seth eagerly stepped forward, only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a single, terrifying glare from Hudson. He instantly shrank back.
Nora: "..."
Hudson cast a cool, warning look at Spencer. "Mr. Sawyer. Keep your brother in line."
Spencer rushed forward and yanked Seth back by his collar. "Enough! Stop embarrassing us and let's go."
"Spencer! I haven't gotten her number yet..."
"You're not getting shit!" Spencer hissed, dragging his brother out of the billiards room by force.
Seeing this, Scarlett stared resentfully at Hudson's retreating back. When she realized he wasn't going to spare her a single glance, she scowled and stormed out after her brothers.
"Spencer, let go of me..." Seth stumbled as he was dragged down the hall. "I can walk by myself!"
Spencer finally released him, taking a heavy breath before turning around. "Is your brain completely broken? Do you have any idea whose wife you were hitting on?"
Seth looked unapologetic. "Yeah. Hudson Lancaster's."
"If you knew, then why..."
"She didn't mind! Plus, she's really cool. She even promised to teach me how to play."
Spencer stared at his brother's sheer, unbothered audacity and felt a migraine setting in.
Because of this idiot, the Sawyer family had just lost ten percent of their profits!
Looking back, Spencer realized that the moment Hudson's bodyguard had walked into the room, he had stepped perfectly into a trap.
And his useless brother was the one who had handed them the leverage on a silver platter...
