Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 527

Silas Lancaster was naturally terrified of death.

Otherwise, he would have overseen the Chicago operation in person, rather than choosing to remain safely hidden in San Francisco.

Of course, his desire for revenge was real, as was his ambition to seize the Lancaster family empire.

But compared to his own life, those things paled in significance.

This operation was an all-or-nothing gamble. Not only had he activated every sleeper agent Uncle Lawrence had buried in San Francisco, but he had also deployed every mercenary he had personally cultivated over the years.

He knew Nora Reed was Hudson's ultimate weakness. Touching her meant an open declaration of war, and Hudson Lancaster would never let him live.

But if he succeeded, the massive Lancaster empire would be his.

And if he failed, it didn't matter. He would flee the country immediately. The millions of dollars he had squirreled away over the years were enough to guarantee a lifetime of absolute luxury.

Either way, it was a risk-free investment.

With that in mind, Silas lowered his voice. "I'm not wasting my breath with you! In thirty minutes, I'll send you a location. If you aren't there within an hour, you can prepare a coffin for Nora."

He hung up the phone before Hudson could reply.

"He's waiting thirty minutes to send the location?"

Nora frowned slightly beside him. "And he gave you an hour to get there... why draw it out like that?"

Hudson scoffed coldly. "He's digging his own grave."

"Is Sienna going to be okay?"

"Don't panic just yet," Hudson murmured, soothingly patting the back of her hand before dialing Finnian Fairchild's number.

"Well? Did you find her?"

"I've narrowed down the perimeter. Half an hour, tops."

"I suggest you hurry. Silas is about to make his move on Sienna."

Finnian's brow furrowed tightly, his expression turning terrifyingly grim. "Understood."

"Boss, isn't this woman... Hudson's wife?"

This was Hudson Lancaster's woman.

If Mr. Lancaster found out they laid a hand on her, would any of them live to see tomorrow?

"That's exactly why you're doing it. It makes it all the more entertaining."

Watching Slim bow and scrape as he hung up the phone, a lackey stepped up, his face flushed with excitement. "What did the boss say?"

"Look at you drooling. You heard him, didn't you?" Slim smacked the back of the man's head. "Go set up the camera. If you do a good job, I'll let you go first."

"Thanks, Slim!"

Desperately searching for a way to escape, Sienna suddenly saw the group of men walking toward her with predatory leers, and a suffocating wave of dread washed over her.

"This woman is seriously gorgeous, man. Look at those stunning curves..."

"I heard she's a billionaire's wife. Damn, we hit the jackpot with this job. Just thinking about this beauty serving all of us... hell, just thinking about it gets me off..."
