Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 523

"Stop talking to the bitch and get her!"

"I'm going to kill you!"

With a furious shout, the rest of the thugs surged toward Olive, murderous intent radiating from them.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the lot, a few men noticed Olive engaging the first group. They exchanged a quick glance and sprinted toward the hotel entrance...

Upstairs, Sienna had just finished the rest of the wine. She was about to crash onto the bed and sleep it off when the doorbell rang again.

"Who is it now?" she muttered.

She dragged herself to the door and peered through the peephole. A hotel staff member in uniform stood there, pushing a room service cart carrying a bottle of wine and two glasses.

Sienna frowned. She hadn't ordered room service.

She hesitated for a moment before cracking the door open just an inch.

"Hi, do you need—"

Before she could finish, a shadowy figure violently rammed the door open. A hand shot out, delivering a brutal, precise strike to the back of her neck.

Sienna didn't even have time to scream. The world went black, and she collapsed forward like a ragdoll.

The man caught her by the shoulder, dragging her into the room while kicking the cart aside. The door clicked silently shut behind them.

The lights in the room were still on. The half-eaten cake and empty wine bottle sat on the coffee table.

The man dragged Sienna onto the rug in the center of the living room. He crouched down and checked her pulse, confirming she was only unconscious. He pulled a black walkie-talkie from his jacket and spoke in a low voice.

"Target secured."

A gruff voice crackled through the speaker. "Pull out."

...

Down in the parking lot, Olive had swiftly finished off the first team.

She planted her boot on the back of the last standing thug, picked up the dropped baton, gave it a twirl, and casually tossed it into a nearby trash can. She dusted off her hands and let out a contemptuous scoff.

"Silas's men are getting worse by the year. Sending you weak pieces of trash is just insulting."

She rolled her shoulders and reached for her phone to update Arthur, but it suddenly vibrated in her pocket.

"Olive! There's more than one group. I just saw a few guys sneaking into the hotel..."

Olive's heart plummeted into her stomach.

She completely ignored the groaning men on the ground and sprinted back toward the hotel entrance.

The lobby was busy, but Nora was nowhere to be seen.

Olive pulled out her phone and dialed Nora's number. It rang repeatedly, but no one answered.

She hung up and sprinted toward the side exit.

At the same time, Nora ended her call with Hudson and stepped out of the lobby restroom.

She glanced toward the parking lot doors but didn't see Olive anywhere.

"?"

Where did Olive go?

She waited in the lobby for several minutes. Eventually, a cab pulled up to the front entrance, dropping off a couple of laughing guests. Nora quickly flagged it down, pulled the door open, and climbed in.

Worried that Olive would panic if she couldn't find her, she tried calling her, but it rang out.

She quickly texted Olive, letting her know she was taking a cab back to their hotel first.

...

Meanwhile, at the side exit.

Olive sprinted around the corner just in time to see a group of men shoving a blanket-wrapped figure into the back of a black minivan.

"Stop them!"

The moment she shouted, the hidden security detail materialized from the shadows.
