Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 491

Two days later, the production team finalized the filming schedule.

Nora took Olive and flew to Chicago with the crew.

For this special project, the production team had rented out a massive outdoor space at the Chicago Heritage Park to film an outdoor segment alongside a live concert.

On the first day of filming, they drew lots for group assignments.

Nora wasn't sure if Leo had pulled some strings behind the scenes, but they ended up in the same group.

The other members were returning guests, save for one new face. His name was Julian Vance. He had just turned twenty, had zero industry clout, and had only recently gone viral on a short-video app for his song covers.

Logically, Nora had finalized the casting during the pre-production phase, so it shouldn't have been possible for a new person to be shoved in last minute. She had no idea whose strings he had pulled.

Since Nora was now officially participating as a contestant, it wasn't her place to manage the logistics anymore. As long as it didn't delay the shoot, she didn't care.

"Rose..."

Nora instinctively turned her head, meeting a pair of intensely excited, dark eyes.

"Just call me by my name..."

Julian seemed even more thrilled. "Can I call you Nora, then? Is that okay?"

Nora nodded.

"Nora, I can't believe we're in the same group! I'm Julian Vance. I'm a huge fan of yours. Could I get your autograph?"

Julian's face flushed with excitement. His pretty, striking eyes sparkled as he practically shoved a marker toward her.

This was the first time Nora had ever been asked for an autograph. Seeing how overwhelmingly enthusiastic he was, she didn't have the heart to refuse. She took the marker. "Where should I sign?"

Julian looked thoroughly humiliated. His eyes even began to redden with unshed tears. "I... I just admire Nora so much... She's my idol..."

Nora took one look at his 'on the verge of tears' act and frowned slightly. She put a hand out to block Leo. "Enough. We have to start filming soon. Don't cause a scene."

Julian quickly looked up, waving his hands frantically. "Don't blame Leo! It's my fault for getting too close and causing a misunderstanding. It's all my fault..."

Watching his dramatic performance, Leo let out a cold scoff.

How many years had he been in the entertainment industry?

He had seen every type of monster and snake out there.

He knew exactly what this clout-chasing, manufactured-drama tactic looked like.

More importantly, he had already asked someone to look into Julian's agency. It was a small-time, vampire PR agency famous for aggressive clout-chasing. Whoever had the highest trending status, they would latch onto them like leeches and suck them dry.
