Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 411

The moment her fingertips touched the keys, Nora's eyes lit up.

The tone was absolutely exquisite.

Each note felt incredibly rich and resonant, ringing out with crystal-clear perfection.

As the song concluded, she turned immediately to Hudson.

"I love it! I absolutely love it!"

Anyone could hear the difference, let alone someone with her Perfect Pitch.

The sheer quality of the sound magnified her amazement tenfold.

Hudson watched the way her features glowed under the warm lighting, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"Honey, teach me how to play..."

Nora's enthusiasm instantly peaked. "Sure, come here."

A faint smile tugged at Hudson's lips as he mimicked her posture, resting his hands on the keys.

His hands were large and masculine, with long, elegant fingers and distinct knuckles. Resting on the black and white keys, they looked like a masterpiece.

Nora stared at his hands for two seconds, silently lamenting that it was a tragedy those hands weren't meant for the piano.

"Relax your hands, don't be so stiff."

She placed her hand over his, guiding his finger to press the first key.

"This is Middle C, the most fundamental note on the piano."

Hudson turned his head to look at her. From this angle, he could see her lowered eyelashes casting delicate, fan-shaped shadows beneath her eyes, like two dark butterflies ready to take flight.

"Look at the keys, why are you looking at me?" Nora didn't even lift her head.

Hudson let out a soft chuckle and finally looked down.

"Look, this is do, this is re, this is mi..."

Her slender, pale fingers danced over the keys to demonstrate, before she wrapped her hand around his, guiding him to press the exact same spots.

"Here, you try."

Hudson followed her instructions.

He pressed down.

The piano let out a horrific, discordant clatter.

Nora's eye twitched. "..."

She never thought a piano could produce such a sound; it sounded as if someone had just punched it in the gut.

"Ugh..." Nora groaned, burying her face in her arms against the piano lid.

Hudson laughed at her dramatic despair. He reached out, affectionately ruffling the back of her head. "If I can't learn, do I still have to pay tuition?"

At the word 'tuition,' Nora's heart instinctively skipped a beat. She quickly waved her hands. "No, no charge."

Hudson's lips curved upward. He slipped his fingers through hers, interlocking them tightly. "Then teach me something else..."

"Something else?"

Before Nora could process his words, an arm banded tightly around her waist, lifting her effortlessly until she was sitting on top of the piano.

The black Steinway gleamed with a cool elegance. Her fingers braced against the smooth, lacquered surface, trembling slightly.

"Hudson! Mmph..."

The rest of her words were swallowed by his kiss.

"No... not here..."

"Right here."

In a matter of seconds, the air ignited, the temperature skyrocketing past the point of no return.

"The piano... don't ruin it..."
