Nora shook her head, laughing softly. "Where would I find the time for that?"
"I don't care. I'm not accepting anyone but you as my agent."
Nora massaged her temples.
She knew this spoiled young master's temper entirely too well. He always made good on his threats.
If she completely ignored him, he'd tear Star Entertainment apart just to make a point.
"Alright, let the new agent handle the day-to-day, and I'll keep an eye on things when I have the time."
"Really? You promise?"
"Yes."
"Deal." Leo's tone finally brightened. He paused before adding, "Oh, by the way, that original music show you pitched got the green light, right?"
Nora paused. "How did you know?"
"Chloe posted about it on social media." Leo's voice dripped with arrogance. "I'm signing up."
Nora's brow furrowed slightly. "The standards for this show are incredibly high. You'd have to pass the initial screening first."
"I'll easily pass."
"That's not a guarantee."
"I don't care. I'm signing up."
Nora wanted to laugh at his shameless persistence. "Fine, submit your name. Whether you make the cut is entirely up to your own talent."
"Piece of cake!"
The call ended.
Nora couldn't suppress a light chuckle.
Honestly, Leo wanting to join the show was great news for her.
His songwriting skills were top-tier among the younger generation of artists, and paired with his stage presence and massive fanbase, doing well on this show could skyrocket his career.
More importantly, once the industry caught wind that Leo was on board, other artists would flock to join just to compete against his star power.
Filling the initial roster wouldn't be an issue anymore.
With that thought, she flipped open her proposal and wrote down two words on the first page:
She had just been parachuted into the Music Director role. Yes, her past success as 'Rose' gave her credibility, but that was over a year ago. She hadn't released any new work since losing her hearing, leaving her vulnerable to whispers that she had lost her touch.
If her marriage to Hudson was exposed now...
People would inevitably claim she slept her way to the top.
To avoid unnecessary drama, she had no choice but to keep Hudson a secret.
"Alright, alright, let's just go. I'm starving to death..."
Hudson let out a low chuckle and shot a glance at Arthur.
The black Maybach smoothly rolled out of the parking structure.
Unnoticed by anyone, a hand holding a smartphone slowly retreated into the shadows of a concrete pillar...
...
The dinner was booked at the Peninsula Hotel, an ultra-exclusive property owned by Sebastian Caldwell.
Though it was called a hotel, it was strictly a members-only private club. Situated right in the heart of the Financial District, its exterior was completely unassuming—no flashy signs, just a heavy dark wooden door set into a pale gray stone wall.
