Olive tilted her head just in time, the sheer force of his fist grazing her ear, leaving a stinging burn in its wake.
The four of them brawled violently across the plaza, the fight deadlocked.
Arthur's movements were precise and lethal, every strike aimed to end the fight.
Olive fought like a wildcat, erratic and impossible to predict.
The twins, Hugo and Harvey, moved with flawless synergy, oscillating perfectly between offense and defense without leaving a single opening.
The sickening sound of fists meeting flesh echoed through the air, sending horrified pedestrians scrambling in every direction amidst overlapping screams.
Time blurred in the chaos before the piercing wail of police sirens finally cut through the distance.
Clearly, a panicked bystander had called it in.
Hugo pulled back first, his brow furrowed in frustration.
If Olive hadn't shown up, the two of them might have been able to handle Arthur and snatch Nora.
But now...
That was completely off the table.
"Harvey, we're out of here!"
Olive was just warming up. Seeing the twins trying to bail, she lunged forward to chase them, only to be yanked back by Arthur's firm grip. "Enough. Let them go."
It was just the two of them, and their top priority was protecting Nora. They couldn't risk walking into another trap; playing it safe was the only option.
Olive pursed her lips in annoyance but obediently followed Arthur back to the SUV.
...
Nora finally realized that Olive had let herself be led away as part of a counter-strategy, yet the whole ordeal had still thoroughly shaken her.
Upon returning to Cloudwater Estate, Arthur had barely parked the car when his phone started buzzing.
"Yes, Boss..."
Nora instinctively looked up. Was that Hudson calling?
She stared eagerly at Arthur, leaning closer to eavesdrop, but he immediately stepped out of the vehicle and walked away to take the call in private.
"Madam, let me tell you..." Olive was just about to excitedly recount the fight, but she stopped when Arthur returned, his face a stony mask.
"Huh? Artie? What's going on?"
The bright lights of the closet bathed her in a warm, golden glow.
Standing before the full-length mirror, she watched her cheeks flush crimson with startling speed.
The woman in the reflection possessed stunning curves, her luminous skin practically glowing against the fabric.
The defining touch was the fluffy bunny tail pinned to the back, emphasizing the incredibly slender, delicate curve of her waist.
The overall look was dangerously seductive.
Nora's face burned so hot it felt like it might spontaneously combust.
Her heart raced frantically in her chest as she stared at her reflection.
Never mind.
She definitely shouldn't wear this.
Hudson was only going to be home for twenty-four hours. If she really wore this, there was no way he'd let her out of bed for three days straight.
With his stamina, his predatory appetite would completely consume her.
It was better not to provoke him...
