Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 212

Nora's mind went entirely blank.

She tried to pull back, but a large, warm hand cupped the back of her neck. She pressed her hands against his chest, attempting to push him away, but he felt like a solid wall of muscle that wouldn't budge.

"Hudson... you... don't..." Her voice slipped through their tangled breaths, broken and unbelievably soft.

Hudson finally pulled back just a fraction. Resting his forehead against hers, his breathing was heavy. His thumb continued to gently stroke the sensitive skin at the nape of her neck.

"Want to try something thrilling?"

Nora's face burned hot enough to melt snow. Struggling to catch her breath, she weakly pushed at him. "Let's go to the room..."

Seeing her flustered and embarrassed, Hudson let out a low chuckle. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, taking a deep breath. His rich laughter vibrated against her skin.

"Darling, why go to the room?"

The jerk! He was doing this on purpose.

Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red. Annoyed, she tried to squirm away, but his large hands framed her face, gently bringing her back.

"You haven't answered me yet..."

She glared at him, but with her eyes misty and wide, the look held zero threat. If anything, it was unintentionally seductive.

"Stop talking..."

Watching her look like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole, Hudson's gaze darkened. He swept her off her feet, carrying her in a bridal style.

"What are you doing?" Nora gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Listening to my wife. Going to the room."

Nora buried her face against his chest, her ears burning as her heart hammered wildly against her ribs.

Hudson carried her to the second floor and kicked the bedroom door open. He bent down and dropped her onto the mattress. The moment Nora's body hit the plush surface, she sank into the softness.

"The curtains..." Nora's voice trembled.

"Leave them," Hudson murmured, hovering over her, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. "With a view this beautiful, it'd be a shame to hide it."

Moonlight spilled through the window, casting their tangled shadows against the wall, merging them until it was impossible to tell where one ended and the other began.

The room was filled with the heavy scent of their passion.

Nora focused entirely on her meal, eating with serious dedication.

Sitting across from her, Hudson meticulously cracked the crab shells, dropping the pristine chunks of meat into her bowl.

Nora looked at the growing mountain of crab in front of her. "You should eat too."

"Watching you eat is far more interesting."

Nora glared at him but didn't argue. She popped another piece of crab into her mouth, letting out a satisfied sigh at the incredible taste.

Seeing her eat like she had been starved, Hudson smiled. "I'll be more careful next time."

"Hmm?" Nora looked up, confused.

Hudson watched her chew, her cheeks puffed out adorably. He reached across the table, pinching her soft cheek. "Next time, I'll make sure to feed you until you're completely full before you feed me. Deal?"

Nora paused, and once the sheer filth of his implication registered, her face erupted in color.

What an absolute jerk!
