Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 176

Hearing this, Edmond fully understood what Hudson meant.

He... he knew!

He knew Nora wasn't Jade, yet he was still keeping her by his side...

What was he trying to do?!

Seeing Hudson turn and walk back toward the Maybach, Edmond couldn't hold back a furious shout. "Hudson, who the hell do you think you are? What gives you the right to make decisions for her?"

Hudson stopped and turned his head to look at him.

Edmond's voice grew louder, laced with hysteria. "She doesn't love you! I'm the one she loves! So what if you married her? Her heart belongs to me! She's loved me for years. Do you really think a dozen days with you can replace that?"

"She'll come back to me sooner or later! It's only a matter of time before you two get divorced... Ugh!"

Edmond let out a pained grunt as a brutal kick connected with his stomach, sending him flying backward like a kite with a broken string.

Before he could even recover, his face was forced down and crushed against the pavement.

"Cough... ah... you..."

Edmond's face scraped viciously against the ground, crimson blood welling up from his torn skin.

The next second, his hair was yanked back ruthlessly, and a demonic, low chuckle echoed in his ear. "I'm getting married at the end of the month, and you're out here cursing me with a divorce? If you don't know how to use that mouth, how about I shut it for you permanently?"

"Edmond!"

Ferris's face drained of color. He tried to rush forward, but Arthur blocked his path with a blank expression.

Arthur was a massive guy, standing in front of him like a brick wall.

Ferris tried to shove him aside, but he wouldn't budge. He tried to step around, but he couldn't get past. He was sweating profusely with panic.

"Get out of the way!"

Arthur didn't move. He didn't even look at him.

Edmond was a young master who had grown up in the lap of luxury; he had never endured such agony. The crushing pressure threatening to cave his head in made him scream in breakdown. "Ah! It hurts! Let go... let me go!"

Hudson had already hung up. He didn't give Edmond a second to breathe, grabbing him by the collar and hauling him up before driving his knee brutally into the man's chest.

Edmond groaned, collapsing backward like a broken ragdoll and hitting the ground hard.

Dust flew into the air.

He lay there, the corner of his mouth split, blood dripping down his chin and staining his collar.

His eye socket was bruised, his cheekbone severely swollen, and his nose was bent out of shape. He looked utterly destroyed.

He struggled to stand, propping himself up slightly before collapsing again.

"Edmond!"

Ferris's eyes went red. He fought desperately to get past, but Arthur held him firmly in check.

Hudson stared down at the man on the ground with towering superiority. He crouched down slowly and patted Edmond's cheek, his voice a low, lethal whisper. "Listen to me, Edmond Sterling. Nora is my woman now, and she will be forever. If you dare come within half a step of her again, I'll chop you to pieces and feed you to the dogs. There won't even be bones left. The Sterling family in Northampton? Try me, if you're not afraid of losing everything you own."
