Hudson stood up and patted Tiffany on the shoulder. "Be polite to her from now on. If you ever cause trouble for her again, don't blame me for dealing with you."
"Oh..." Tiffany replied with a muffled voice.
She wasn't stupid. With him putting it that way, she pretty much figured out that this whole fake bride situation was entirely orchestrated by him.
The goal was to lure her right into his trap.
But when did he even meet Nora Reed?
Logically, the two of them shouldn't have ever crossed paths. How did he fall so deeply for her?
Deep enough to go to such extreme lengths to set this whole thing up?
"So, Jade running away from the wedding? You arranged that?" she asked.
"Yeah."
Tiffany stayed quiet for a few seconds before asking again, "What about that fortune teller who read the horoscopes for the marriage? You arranged him too?"
"Yeah."
"..."
She was utterly speechless. He was always one to lay out intricate, long-term plans.
So all those ruthless schemes were just to get Nora?
"Do you have any more questions?"
"...No."
Hudson gave a lazy nod and turned to walk out. Arthur, who had been guarding the door, quickly followed.
Tiffany stood rooted to the spot, frowning in distress.
Come to think of it, was she a little too loud last night?
Was it too late to go apologize to Nora now?
No.
She had to find a way to make it up to her...
...
The black Maybach drove out of the Lancaster estate, winding its way down the mountain road.
Hudson leaned back against his seat, his eyes closed, his fingers absentmindedly rubbing his temples.
Grant was clearly annoyed. "Tsk, I don't know what kind of lunatic would dare mess with Leo's reputation like this... I've already got people looking into who's behind this. Once I find out, I'm going to tear them apart..."
"Tell me when you find out," Hudson interrupted, his tone chillingly calm.
Grant paused, quickly catching on. "You suspect they were targeting Nora?"
When Hudson didn't answer, he hurriedly added, "Alright, leave it to me."
After hanging up, Hudson opened his social media app again.
On the trending list, #LeoHamiltonRomanceExposed had been completely wiped clean, along with all related tags.
He scrolled through the list and noticed a tag for #RoseTheComposer shooting up the ranks at a visible speed. Despite having low engagement and discussion volume, it had somehow climbed to a high position within minutes.
Hudson furrowed his brows slightly.
"Arthur, find out who bought this trend, and contact someone to have it taken down."
"Yes, Boss."
The car was quiet for a few seconds. Hudson rubbed his temples and suddenly asked, "How are things with Olive O'Neil?"
"She cooperated with the investigation at the police station yesterday and gave her statement. She should be back sometime today."
