Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 829

Chapter 829

Just then, Leon’s phone buzzed again.

A text message.

Only a few words:

‘It’s settled.’

It was from the person following Jennifer.

Settled.

Leon’s face darkened.

So she really had gone to the hospital to end the pregnancy?

She had barely left him before trying to get rid of the baby.

Was her heart really that hard?

Could she not stand carrying his child for even one more minute?

Lucas watched Leon’s expression turn darker.

“What now?”

“Nothing. I just think she can be really heartless.”

Lucas went quiet.

That was not an easy thing to respond to.

Everyone had said Stella was heartless too.

But was she really?

What had the Wright family done to her back then?

They had wanted to destroy her.

They had never cared whether she was safe or not.

When she fought back, they called her ruthless.

But how was she ruthless?

She had only been trying to protect herself.

So when Leon called Jennifer heartless, Lucas chose not to say anything.

At the hospital, Jennifer stared at the receptionist in disbelief.

“You’re saying there isn’t a single appointment available for the next month?”

“Are that many people really trying to end pregnancies?”

That could not be right.

No matter what, it should not be impossible to get an appointment for an entire month.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Tanner,” the receptionist said. “All appointments for the next month are fully booked. Y may want to try another hospital.”

Jennifer frowned.

“But I can’t wait that long.”

“I understand, but we really can’t squeeze you in. I’m sorry.”

What else could Jennifer say?

“Tell me, what is going on in Harbor City? Are that many people suddenly trying to end pregnancies tha can’t get an appointment anywhere?”

“You expect me to believe you have nothing to do with it?”

Jennifer practically shouted into the phone.

She did not believe him.

“You think I did it just because you don’t believe me?” Leon said. “Maybe this baby is meant to be with you.”

“Don’t give me that destiny nonsense,” Jennifer snapped. “Leon, can you be rational for once? Face reality.”

She was furious.

That bastard.

Did he really not understand that their situation was impossible?

There was no way to fix it.

And yet he was still stopping her from ending the pregnancy.

Leon fell silent.

He listened as Jennifer vented on the other end of the line.

But his silence only made her angrier.

“So now you’re copying Evan too? You’re using your power to control everything?”

Evan.

Evan again.

These days, whether it was Stella or Jennifer, the second Leon did anything remotely forceful, they compared him to Evan and Stella’s relationship.
