Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1028

Whenever Stella brought up the past, Evan was the one most at fault.

He could not defend himself against any of it.

So now that he had lost the argument, he simply wanted to stop talking about it.

“You’d better let go of me,” Stella warned.

“No.”

The moment the word left his mouth, Stella stomped hard on his foot.

Evan grunted in pain and released her.

This woman…

“Are you really that heartless?”

He had already swallowed his pride and humbled himself before her, yet she still refused to soften toward him.

Stella turned and headed for the door.

“Where are you going?” Evan asked.

“Wherever I’m supposed to be. Are you going to stop me?”

“You can’t leave this place without my permission.”

Stella stopped.

Her expression darkened instantly.

The words brought her straight back to Hogarth Castle.

Back then, she had not even been allowed to step outside without Aaron’s permission.

And now Evan was doing the same thing.

Stella turned to look at him, her eyes filled with disgust.

Evan’s heart sank beneath that gaze.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I honestly don’t know what to say about you.”

Evan said nothing.

“You really are all the same.”

All the same.

As far as Stella was concerned, Evan, Felix, and Aaron were no different from one another.

“The same as who?” Evan demanded.

His unease deepened at her words.

Stella gave a cold snort but did not answer.

She did not need to.

That sound alone told Evan she was comparing him to Felix.
