A man in his early thirties.
He wore a sharp charcoal-grey casual blazer, dark-rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of his straight nose. Behind the lenses were a pair of incredibly cold eyes.
He was looking down at a tablet, his fingers swiping rapidly across the screen, not even bothering to look up when they walked in.
Jane led Eliza up to the table.
"Mr. Sherwood, she's here."
Sean's fingers stopped.
He looked up.
His gaze swept over Eliza, analytical and utterly critical.
"Eliza Shaw."
His voice was lower than she had expected, his pacing rapid. No pleasantries, no small talk.
"Sit."
Eliza pulled out a chair and sat down, keeping her posture perfectly straight.
Sean slid the tablet across the table toward her.
The screen showed the viral choreography video she had performed, paused on a specific frame.
"I've seen this routine."
Sean tapped the screen with one finger.
"Your choreography skills are solid. The rhythm, the mechanics, and the emotional capture are all exactly where they need to be."
"Especially right here, where you transition from the flip directly into the sleeve toss. The fusion of contemporary and classical styles is brilliantly executed."
Eliza didn't crack a smile at the compliment.
She knew there was a 'but' coming.
And right on cue.
"However." Sean leaned back in his chair, folding his hands on the table, his voice dropping several degrees.
"Ms. Shaw, I reviewed your complete resume."
