I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 341

That day, Finn drove his car straight to The Celestial Heights.

He came here with only one purpose: to see Maeve.

After jumping through hoops to find her penthouse number, the questions had festered in his mind for far too long. He decided it was better to confront her directly.

He rang the doorbell.

The door swung open.

Maeve didn't look surprised to see Finn; she simply stepped aside. "Come in."

Finn stepped into the foyer.

Maeve poured him a cup of tea, set it on the coffee table, and took a seat opposite him.

"You seem like you were expecting me," Finn said, remaining standing.

"You've been looking into my past." Maeve picked up her own cup. "I was mentally prepared."

Finn sat down and studied her.

She wore a faded linen shirt, her hair pulled back casually with a simple elastic band. A few strands of silver peeked through at her temples. Her eyes were incredibly bright, cool, and piercing, as if she could see straight through a person's soul.

"Do you know why I'm here?" Finn asked.

Maeve set her cup down.

"I'm the one who hit your father. Are you here to have me arrested?"

Finn was momentarily speechless. The conversation was cutting straight to the bone much faster than he had anticipated.

Two sentences in, and Maeve had already confessed.

Her bluntness threw him off balance.

"Why did you hit him?" He lifted his gaze, meeting her eyes head-on.

Maeve held his stare.

"That is between Grant and me. I have no obligation to explain it to anyone else. You're his son; you're welcome to call the cops and have me locked up."

Finn found himself lost for words once again.

"It seems you don't want to arrest me." Maeve leaned back in her chair. "So, what did you want to ask?"

Finn had arrived with a barrage of questions.

But now, he didn't want to ask them anymore. Or rather, he didn't know which one to start with.

Maeve didn't wait for him to figure it out.

"Have you noticed you're being followed?"

Finn blinked in surprise.

He had felt a lingering suspicion earlier, but he hadn't dwelled on it. He couldn't think of anyone who would be tailing him right now.

"Do you love Sienna?" Maeve suddenly shifted gears.
