I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 342

"I've thought it through. I shouldn't be hiding this."

"Are you kidding me? Do you not know my sister's temper? Trust me, get out of here. I'll cover for you."

Noah tried to shove him back into the hallway.

Sienna's voice drifted out from the bedroom.

"Noah, who is it?"

"Delivery guy! Just a package!" Noah yelled back, then shot Finn a desperate glare. "Go, go, go!"

Finn raised his voice.

"Sienna, it's me."

The bedroom door opened instantly.

Sienna stepped out.

She was dressed in a light, comfortable sweater, her hair falling loosely over her shoulders. When she saw Finn standing in the doorway, she froze in her tracks.

"Do you need something?"

Realizing things were about to blow up, Noah tactfully decided to make himself scarce.

"Sienna, I'm gonna run downstairs to grab a snack."

The door clicked shut.

The living room was suddenly empty, save for the two of them.

Finn stood by the entrance, making no move to step inside.

Sienna studied him. He wore a crisp white button-down, looking immaculate and impossibly tall as he loomed by her doorway, making her little shoe rack look like doll furniture.

The overhead light cast sharp shadows across his sculpted face.

Sienna had a sinking feeling that he was about to drop a bomb.

"Actually, I live right across the hall."

Sienna's heart nearly stopped.

This man never failed to give her a heart attack!

It wasn't as though she hadn't suspected it.

Just a few nights ago, during that thunderstorm, she had paced the halls specifically to test that very theory.

But afterward, she had convinced herself she was just being paranoid.

She never expected Finn to show up at her door and voluntarily confess.

"And the landlord of this apartment you're living in... is also me."

"Excuse me?"

That was something Sienna had absolutely not seen coming.

She had mentally prepared herself for the neighbor revelation, but him being her landlord was entirely out of left field.

But immediately, all the disparate puzzle pieces slammed together in her brain.

The decor perfectly tailored to her tastes, the ridiculously low rent... all the glaring coincidences.

She had genuinely believed she had just gotten incredibly lucky.

Sienna turned around, looking toward the balcony.
