Sasha smiled, her eyes crinkling happily like a little girl's.
"You should have said so earlier! I've just been waiting for you to say that. I was worried that if I didn't stick around to help out a friend, I'd look totally heartless. Since you're giving me an out, I'm more than happy to take it. I just got back to Metropolis, and there are so many places I haven't seen yet. I definitely need to go exploring."
Finn's lips twitched upward slightly at her banter.
"I've been holding you up. I'll make it up to you soon."
"I'm going to hold you to that, you know."
Sasha stood up, grabbed her bag, and fluttered toward the door like a social butterfly. She opened it, glancing back at him one last time. "Don't forget to eat your breakfast."
The door clicked shut.
Standing alone in the hallway, the bright smile melted off Sasha's face piece by piece.
She lowered her head, gripping the straps of her backpack tightly as a subtle smirk crept onto her lips.
Back in the living room.
Lance looked at Finn, lowering his voice.
"Hey, can you make it to the office today? There's a lot of stuff waiting for you. You need to pull yourself together."
Finn picked up his bowl and took a bite.
He had figured it out.
Sienna was free.
She had the right to choose whatever kind of life she wanted to lead.
But that only applied if the man she chose was actually worthy of her.
Sienna was pure and kind-hearted, a truly exceptional doctor.
But she didn't have much experience with relationships. She wasn't the best at reading people, and her heart was too soft, making it incredibly easy for her to get taken advantage of.
Finn wanted to help her uncover exactly what kind of man Silas really was.
Finn stood up and walked over to the window, pulling the curtains back.
Sunlight flooded the room, making him squint against the glare.
"I want to go visit Jarvis."
Lance's father, Jarvis Dayton, had always been very close to the Hayes family.
He would undoubtedly know a great deal about them, especially Silas.
