I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 208

When he finally spoke, his tone had shifted.

It was no longer a command or a threat; it was a negotiation.

He rarely used this tone with anyone in his entire life.

"Miss Sterling, have a seat."

Sienna sat down.

Finn stood perfectly still, staring at her in absolute disbelief.

In a matter of minutes, the contents of Sienna's flash drive had completely turned the tables.

He couldn't fathom what kind of evidence she had been secretly gathering all this time.

And she hadn't breathed a single word of it to him.

He looked at her.

"Where did you get that evidence?"

His voice was low, raspy, as if the words were being wrung from dry stone.

He had genuinely believed Sienna was only here for an apology. He realized now he had been completely kept in the dark.

Sienna had never trusted him.

The crushing realization tore Finn's heart into pieces.

Sienna looked at him, offering no response.

She turned her head and addressed Yolanda.

"Mrs. Fletcher, do you think I should tell him?"

Finn was even more stunned.

He felt like he didn't know the woman sitting in front of him anymore.

This wasn't the girl who used to cry in his arms, nor was it the girl who used to chase after him asking, 'Will you always protect me?'

She sat there, holding the absolute ruin of everyone in the room in the palm of her hand, as cold and lethal as an unsheathed blade.

Grant finally spoke.

"You mentioned earlier that you have backups on the cloud. Delete all of them, and this ends tonight. Name your price. Tell me how much you want."

Yolanda didn't even dare to breathe.

Sienna looked at Grant.

"I don't want your money. Like I said, I want an apology. If I demand cash, that makes it extortion, doesn't it? I do possess basic legal common sense."

Grant was silent for a few seconds.

He gave a short nod and turned his gaze to Yolanda.

There was no sympathy in his eyes, no pity whatsoever, only one clear message.

He thought she was waiting for him to tell the truth, and she was.

But she wasn't waiting for him to return to her; she was waiting to finish using him.

Finn stood there, the angry red welt still burning on his left cheek, the blood at the corner of his mouth already dried.

He stared at Sienna. She sat rigidly in her chair, her back straight, her perfectly manicured fingers resting casually on her knees.

That was not the Sienna he knew.

His eyes trembled violently as the reality crashed down on him; Sienna had kept so much hidden from him.

Finn's hands dropped limply to his sides. He slowly curled them into fists, then let them fall loose again.

He didn't know what else he could possibly do. He had absolutely nothing left to give her.

Tonight, he just looked incredibly pathetic.

Faced with Yolanda's apology, Sienna remained completely unfazed. She only had eyes for Grant.

"Mr. Fletcher, aren't you the least bit curious where I got all this evidence?"

Yolanda's body shook uncontrollably.

"Sienna! Shut your mouth!"

Sienna laughed.

"What's the rush, Mrs. Fletcher?"
