I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 593

Hayden hit a wall with Zoe and drove straight back to Thorne Enterprises.

Colin Zachs wasn't around; instead, Justice Jordan was waiting for him respectfully.

"Mr. Thorne, Chairwoman Winters came by looking for you again this afternoon," Justice reported. After he had blocked Sienna's number, her calls still showed up on his call log.

He had no choice but to wait here for Hayden. If Sienna showed up at the office, he would be the first to suffer her wrath.

"Got it."

Hayden gave a clipped, two-word response without asking any follow-up questions, allowing Justice to leave with peace of mind.

Instead of calling to verify Justice's words, Hayden summoned Quentin Muir.

"What kind of illness does Zoe have?"

It was an abrupt question, but Quentin sighed in relief that Hayden had finally noticed something was wrong with his wife.

Quentin took a seat across from Hayden, crossing his long legs, looking completely at ease.

"She isn't sick. Can't you tell she didn't lose her memory, but rather regained her past memories?"

Hayden's dark eyes trembled slightly as he weighed the meaning behind Quentin's words.

"Then what was the meaning of the last five years? Was the woman I married just an empty shell?"

Quentin rubbed the bridge of his nose and dropped a bombshell.

"I don't know if you believe in the occult. Of course, I'm a doctor, and we should trust in science."

Hayden barely held his temper in check. Quentin was dragging out the suspense with too much theatricality. Hayden shot him a predatory gaze, the warning in his eyes unmistakable.

If Quentin dared to spout one more nonsensical word, he was going to need a good lawyer.
