I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 379

The call ended without warning. Sienna held her phone, unable to process what had just happened for a long time.

This meant that after all the effort she and Hayden had poured into inviting Zachary and creating such massive media hype, the result was a canceled partnership.

How was Easton supposed to face the media now, and what was she going to do?

After she finished the call, Hayden didn't offer any follow-up remarks either. Instead, he simply pulled open the office door and walked straight out.

Zoe and Garrett became even busier after the expo.

Sterling's investment and recruitment department's phones were ringing off the hook.

There were far too many people practically throwing money at their door seeking partnerships, but after discussing it, the two of them rejected almost all of them.

Zoe wanted to handle the emotional AI project herself and had no plans to outsource it.

Garrett brought her the news: "I heard Easton's partnership with Zachary has been canceled."

Zoe smiled faintly, offering no comment.

Zachary wasn't an ordinary man. That conceptual robot was just an impulsive idea she had back in the day.

Before she even had the chance to implement it, it was stolen outright.

While Zoe was angry, she naturally couldn't sue anyone without evidence.

Fortunately, she could see that the prospects for that robot were bleak, and Zachary truly was a veteran in this industry.

Unlike Ethan, a novice who had just entered the AI world and thought a business could scale just by throwing around a few buzzwords.

Zachary's insight was far beyond what an ordinary person could match.

"He makes decisions quite fast."

What Zoe admired most was Zachary's foresight. He hadn't even been here a day before he saw everything clearly.

She probably hadn't been wrong before. It turned out even such a formidable titan could be blinded by love. Sienna had coaxed him into a puddle with just a few words, making him fly all the way here with the genuine intention of partnering with Easton.

"Later on, notify the finance department to wire a two million dollar penalty fee to Easton."

Zoe was stunned. "Only two million?"

"Is there something else, Garrett?"

Garrett wanted to say that he felt Director Yates had feelings for Zoe and wanted to warn her to be careful.

But on second thought, she was still pregnant and technically still married. Even if Yates really had intentions, he wouldn't show them so quickly.

Furthermore, if Zoe and Hayden actually went through with the divorce, she really would need a good man to rely on. Marriage would be her eventual destination.

Garrett was certain Zoe had no romantic feelings for him, and he had resolved to let her be his good friend for life.

In that case, he would need to help her vet any potential suitors for such a major life decision.

Getting to know a few more excellent men before officially starting to date wasn't a bad idea.

At that moment, he decided to say nothing more about it.

"No, I just hope you don't exhaust yourself."

Zoe smiled sweetly. "I won't. You, Godfather, and Godmother have all protected me so well. Everyone at the company fights to do the work, so I have far too much free time every day."
