I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 357

Hayden remained silent.

Sienna stood quietly by his side, the picture of unconditional support. When Valerie Yates brought in two cups of coffee, Sienna took them, insisting on organizing Hayden's desk herself since he was clearly in a foul mood.

As Valerie left the office, her eyes burned with envy.

Sienna knew exactly why Hayden was so enragedโ€”Garrett had blatantly challenged his authority.

If Zoe hadn't seduced Garrett and used him as a weapon against Hayden, Hayden would never have canceled a multi-billion-dollar deal just to send a message.

Sienna was determined to secure the partnership renewal, but she also knew how to play Hayden perfectly.

The more obsessed he was with an action, the more she needed to blindly validate it.

If she pushed back, he might start to wonder about her motives.

Now, all she had to do was wait for the Kendalls to process the photos and publicly sever ties with Zoe to protect their reputation.

The Kendall family's grand banquet was set for three days later.

As a reigning queen of the city's elite social circles, Sienna naturally received an invitation.

She ran her fingers over the gold-embossed lettering, her lips curling into a smug smile when she saw it was addressed explicitly to *Mrs. Thorne*.

Mrs. Winters and Megan leaned over her shoulder to inspect it.

"What's this?"

"An invitation to the Kendall family's private gala," Sienna replied smoothly.

Neither Megan nor Mrs. Winters had received one.

Megan's smile tightened, her jealousy flashing for a split second before she hid it.

Mrs. Winters, however, was beaming.

"The Kendalls are the most powerful political and business dynasty in the city. If they're inviting you, it proves they aren't complete fools.

"It's a shame I was unwell during their ridiculous adoption ceremony for Zoe. If I had been there, I would have put a stop to it. They have to be blind to adopt such an ungrateful wretch.

"I am her biological mother, and she treats me like trash. Does Arthur Kendall really think she's going to care for him in his old age? He's delusional.

"This gala is your perfect opportunity, Sienna. You need to talk some sense into the Kendall family. Especially the old man, and Mr. and Mrs. Kendall."

Sienna emerged in a breathtaking, warm-toned evening gown. The intricate lace detailing across the bodice perfectly accentuated her flawless, luminous skin.

She shared some facial features with Zoe and was undeniably stunning.

But whenever she stood next to Zoe, Sienna's manufactured elegance always felt suffocatingly dull compared to Zoe's effortless, radiant beauty.

"Sienna... you look absolutely incredible," Megan forced herself to compliment. She recognized the dress from a high-end fashion magazine.

It cost seven figures. Megan couldn't even justify spending that much on a car.

Sienna smiled graciously, her eyes gleaming with practiced charm.

"I'm heading out, Mom, Megan."

She called Hayden, who was already waiting outside in his car to escort her.

The Kendall gala was held at the city's most exclusive five-star hotel. The grand ballroom was ablaze with brilliant crystal chandeliers. The sweet scent of expensive champagne and the rich aroma of fine wine drifted through the sea of impeccably dressed guests.

With her hand resting lightly on Hayden's arm, Sienna commanded the room's attention the moment she stepped inside.

Dozens of corporate titans and political figures immediately flocked to Hayden to pay their respects.
