Zoe replied flatly, "Print it out. I'll sign and date it."
Forget a month, she would do it tomorrow.
Thrilled, Mrs. Winters hurried upstairs to find Sienna.
Left alone at the massive dining table, Zoe finally looked at the lavish spread and suddenly felt her appetite return.
Just as she was enjoying the food, a deep, raspy male voice laced with disbelief echoed from the side of the room.
"Are you... Zoe?"
Zoe turned her head, locking eyes with the face that had terrorized her entire youth.
Terrence Winters.
Terrence had just gotten off a flight and come straight home without giving Mrs. Winters any notice.
He hadn't expected to walk into such a massive surprise.
Instant revulsion and fury flooded Zoe's eyes.
"It really is you, Zoe. What brings you here? We haven't seen each other in years. You lookβ"
Terrence didn't even try to hide the raw, predatory gaze sweeping over Zoe's stunning curves.
After all these years, the girl had blossomed into a woman that would make any man harbor dirty thoughts.
Facing Terrence's unabashed leering, the food Zoe had just eaten threatened to come right back up.
She ignored him completely.
But Terrence dropped his briefcase and began taking slow, deliberate steps toward her...
Upstairs, Mrs. Winters took the share transfer contract from Sienna and printed out a copy of the divorce guarantee. When she came back down to the dining room, Zoe was nowhere to be found.
Hayden and Sienna walked down the stairs right behind her.
"Mom? Did Zoe leave?"
Hayden began walking straight toward the storage room.
The noises were getting louderβand they sounded distinctly like the shameless, stifled groans of a woman.
As Hayden got closer, Sienna quickly spoke up.
"Hayden, it's probably just the maids organizing things. It's getting late. If we don't leave soon, the amusement park will close before Holden gets to play."
Mrs. Winters realized what was happening, the color draining entirely from her face. Part of her desperately wanted Hayden to kick the door down and stop whatever disgusting act was taking place inside.
But Sienna's interruption made Hayden stop dead in his tracks.
He turned around just as Holden bounded down the stairs.
"Hayden, can we go now?"
Hayden threw one last glance at the storage room before answering without a second of hesitation, "Yeah... let's go."
